A good friend of the family was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer only a few months ago. They gave her 24 months to live with chemo, and today she got the results and she's all clear. It had moved to her liver and it's all clear!!!

Figured we all have so much bad news lately that this could be a bit of a pick me up!

She's an awesome old lady and we're all ecstatic. Just figured I'd share.

It's looking like my pops is going to beat stage 3 lung cancer. The Chemo shrunk the tumor down to nothing and he is in his second week of radiation now. The radiation doc said he feels like he can finish the tumor off and get him in remission.

Seriously, how can some overcome stage 4 cancer, while others cannot?
Don't go "miracles happen" on me, I just want scientific answers.

And congrats to Old Bird.

Congrats man, that's awesome. My grandma was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 1986. Doctor told my dad to enjoy Christmas that year because it would be her last. She went on to live another 28 years.

That's encouraging.

I have a cancer situation going on right now in my family.

It's good to know that sometimes, things work out.

Awesome!! It's a shitty treatment but it is pretty awesome when it works! Honestly we couldn't be happier. This shitty disease always seems to take the good ones, it's nice to see someone beat it.

My dad was dx with pancreatic cancer in February. Had surgery, doing chemo now and all seems well.

Cancers sucks, but doesn't always win.

I've been living with it myself for four years...

Cheers again to The Bird!

Holy shite, that's usually a death sentence. Your pops is a strong man and you're a lucky person to still have him. Best of luck.
