Makes me concerned about our leadership with this team. Got to have more balls that what I've seen since 06-10 to take chances on players and win..

Dear God another Collins thread. Didn't he say he did not want to play in New Orleans? Nothing we could do about that. Yes he would have been awesome in the B&G. But he is not here. Move along please.

no

Wasn't trying to be a dick. I just feel like this has been beat to death. I'm pretty sure he said New Orleans was not a destination of choice shortly after the draft. I may be wrong on that. But I don't think I am. No I don't have a link, that is why I posed it as a question and not a statement.

Some guy on TD said he didn't want to play here. He said he didn't want to go anywhere cold and he wanted to be close to home.
It has but with Jahri on his back so much it's gonna keep coming up.

This isn't college, players don't necessarily want to play for the local sports team.

When someone is chosen in the 6th or 7th round of the draft, it doesn't matter much where they would rather play.

Uh, hello? That's what the draft is all about. It's a crap shoot.

I pulled for Collins when he was a Tiger. Now that he's a Cowboy, frick him.

I completely agree with this post. When you are in need of OLinemen, and you don't even bother to give a shot at getting a 1st round talent for the price of a free agent, something is freaking wrong.

Actually it does. Had you paid attention when his agent came out and said if he's draft after the 3rd (or in the 3rd) he will refuse to sign and re-enter next year's draft. The rules of the league state that if a player is drafted, they are eligible to sit out and re-enter the following year. HOWEVER, if a player is undrafted in a year that they register for the draft, then they cannot enter the draft the following year.
This, along w/ the pending legal issues, is why he went completely undrafted. No team (including the Cowboys) wanted to risk a draft pick w/ the looming threat that he could re-enter the draft the following year. Additionally, because the BRPD was so slow in getting the facts straight, there was not enough information for teams to even want to consider using one of their picks from the 1st 3 rounds. The information absolving him of the crime was not made available until AFTER the draft.

You missed when he agent said that was a bluff and they were never going to sit out?

Nothing really changed actually. BRPD didn't declare him a higher degree of "not a suspect".

How big of an a-hole are you for starting this thread?

If you're the GM, do you risk this being a bluff? I personally would have thrown a 6th or 7th, but I get why teams would avoid that chance w/ the number of gems that have been found around the league in the later rounds.
