Does the Braves management know what they are doing?

What they are doing this year doesn't make any sense to me.
-Trade for Uribe, keep him for a month, than trade him to somewhere else.
-Trade Alec Wood, one of your best young pitchers.
Supposedly this is a rebuilding year, but they don't seem to be building anything. The team they put together reminds me of scab teams during strike years.
BTW, rebuilding is another word for your team sucks.

This has fail written all over it. I don't even know where to begin.

did you guys flip him for more value than you gave up to get him?

Rebuilding takes time.
Signing Nick Markakis seems like the biggest head scratcher of all the braves moves

Chris Johnson sucked and we needed to find a better 3B, so we traded for Uribe. Uribe then started to perform well and we were able to unload him for future pieces.

I didn't initially like this move, but again.. with Alex Wood losing speed on his fastball, and just in general his entire throwing motion raises questions about his longevity, we capitalized on his young talent and moved him for some serious prospects, one of those being Hector Olivera (3B) who we heavily chased before he signed with the Dodgers.

We are in rebuilding mode. The Braves will have a new stadium in 2017, a new coach and most if not all prospects we have traded for since this past off-season will most likely be contributing members of the 2017 squad.

The Braves never gave Chris Johnson a fair shot.
Johnson went 4 for 4 for the Indians the other night.

KC, Pittsburgh & the Astros, all small market teams that got good by accumulating young talent. That's what the Brave are trying to do. I'm not a fan of Fredi, their Bobby Cox clone manager. Hopefully they'll get rid of him.

As a nats fan I really appreciate the direction that organization is headed and hope they keep it up

As a Braves fan, I really appreciate how you have somehow managed to hover around .500 and would miss the playoffs if they started today. That is hard to pull off with that roster. Well done.

Thanks for proving you're idiocy. We were all riding high on CJ for the longest time when he was going for the batting title, but since that season he has been an absolute disappointment. Terrible bat and equally terrible fielding. There's a reason he was riding the bench and we traded for Uribe. Johnson had a fair shake in Atlanta. Go away now.

Catfish or Crimson alter is my guess

Wut?

Yes... Fredi Gonzalez will be let go after the 2016 season. He was simply extended through next year to be the coach to turn out the lights at Turner Field before he cleared his office. We will have a new stadium and a new coach in 2017.

Wait.. I agree RDR. It's not Catfish or Crimson (though it wouldn't surprise me). It's gotta be MizzouKills alter. He's been in a Brave bashing mood as of late, so this could just be another one of his troll job threads.

I hate it too, I isually watch/listen to 100+ games a year, barely watched 5 this year.
We suck and I don't see how our moves helped with the "rebuild"

Catfish is on your mind all the time. Love it

I think it's just a matter of they don't want to be terrible while they're rebuilding. So they're getting a few useful players that don't cost him anything. Hart has added a lot of young pitching so you can afford to give up A young pitcher for a third baseman he really likes. A rebuild does not need to be a total breakdown Astros style. The best young players the Astros have are ones they drafted not ones they traded for.
