If that price is accurate I will have this immediately. The Aimpoint micro is way overpriced IMO.

This is interesting. Wonder what the release date on it is?

As long as this thing is better than their last attempt at a red dot (I forget the exact model) I'll be in. Looks very compact and sharp.

Looks like it has a 5 year battery too. Could be a winner.

You mean the SRS? That thing is huge but the sight picture is awesome.

Heard it had a lot of issues with reflection and dot washout. Could've just been one specific setup but for how expensive they are you'd think they wouldn't have any issues.

I don't have first hand experience with them other than playing with one at the store when they first came out. I really liked it, but just couldn't justify the cost over a Aimpoint PRO.

Undershooting on retail price a bit, given the cost sheet I looked at. It'll be about $529.99 locally. Little cheaper online, I'm sure

LINK
"Pricing has been rumored to be about ~$500. A trusted source of mine send in the below image showing the retail price to be $579 for the optic without a mount. That said, I was also told that the dealer pricing is VERY aggressive, so expect dealers to push these aggressively and for them to sell below MSRP."

$529 sounds about right

dude, we have Accupoints, Accupowers, and RMRs. Hopefully some VCOGs soon. they're quickly becoming one of my favorites. think im gonna do my 5.56 upper with a Accupower and offset RMR

It seems that way. I heard the price from Larry Vickers Facebook page so that is what I reported

Forgot about the Accupower you showed me the other day! Unbelievably clear.

I wish Trijicon or even Aimpoint would do more green-illuminated products. I've read that green diodes aren't as efficient as red ones but I would think some people wouldn't mind the tradeoff. Trijicon already does it with their different colored night sights and people still buy them.

I would think they could be more efficient since the human eye picks up green better than other colors. Seems every other H3 powered source is green looking at lensatic compasses and watch dials.

I think this would be problematic if you had a green background to your target like a treeline. Blue like on the Browe BCO would almost seem better.

I'm referring more to electrical efficiency for battery life. But obviously I agree because my eyes see green better. It's easier for me to see the dot on my RMR than it is to see the red dot in my Aimpoint.

Chat, which color hue are you referring to?

But it seems to me if they were to simply install a multi-colored diode in a dot housing that the user could choose whatever color he or she wanted. That might be an interesting idea if the big players were to try and break new ground.

It looks like this

I think a blue like that would be a good color to use on a micro dot.

But it's still only Vortex. I haven't seen anything like that from the big players.

Crimson Trace has finally started a green laser line (although slightly against the "crimson" name). But it took them a while before they began doing it.
