Ok I have a 2009 GMC Sierra that has been creaking/popping severely when I get about 3/4 too maxed out turning. I don't have to be moving for our to happen, just turning the wheel while still makes it creak.

I have:
Sprayed all bushings and just about everything that I saw that moved with white lithium grease.
Changed my steering stabilizer bar linkage.
Changed out my upper control arm and ball joint.
Changed front steering stabilizer bar bushings.

Help a brother out.

Here's a video I took today before going to work of the noise.

Maybe ball joints?

Thats what I thought initially, but like I said, I changed out my upper today and checked the lower and all is fine.

ETA: Well checked out to be fine on the lower, but my upper is a brand new greasable MOOG.

Can't tell on my phone if that sounds like a spring or clicking. What does "calling" sound like?

Just spraying grease doesn't help much. The front swaybar bushings won't get any unless you take them off and actually spray inside. Those usually creak too.

My bad, typo on the phone. I had to upload the video from is before I could use the computer. Its a creaking/popping sound.

Yeah, I pulled the bolts out and sprayed, but then just went ahead and changed the linkage and the bushings.

Engine hot or cold makes no difference, correct?

Right or left turn, same symptom?

None, I can stand on my nerf bars and hop and it will do it to a lesser extent.

Yep, it gets worse at about 3/4-full turn

Do your bars have a bracket that attaches to a body mount near the center of the bar?

I would bet it has started creaking. Try removing them and see what happens.

No, they are bolted directly to the frame. There was a known issue of that happening with these trucks from the factory that the dealership fixed soon after I bought it.

This sound is coming from the wheelwell/suspension area somewhere.

Man that sounds like a body mount creaking to me just watching the video, although on flat ground that is probably not what it is.

Yeah I did think of that, but I havent touched a body mount since the side steps were installed and the dealer did that.

I can sit there in park and shift to drive (or vis versa) and hear it creak. I can also sit there in park and turn the steering wheel and it will do it without me moving an inch.

My guess would be the lower ball joint. Maybe lower control arm bushings? How did you determine the lower bj was ok? Edit: But after listening again it sounds kinda like a spring noise, could the noise be coming for the coil spring?

Edit2. You check the wheel bearing?

While I was changing the upper ball joint I just did the "check" on the hub with a pry bar, got 0 movement.

Nope, doesn't feel any different than driving with AT tires would normally feel.

Kinda sounds like the GM knock. Intermediate steering shaft was the main problem with the older models, most places would just grease it, but my brother had his replaced 08 Sierra, and it seemed to do the trick.

ETA-Disregard- did not watch the video before posting, def not the GM knock.
