I had a Gipsy IPA from Crooked Letter and poured it out, was a big malt bomb which I expect a malt flavor but not like that.

2bd Dogfish Head India Brown Ale at Bitterroot BBQ.

3bd was a couple of pours from sampler bottles. The Bitterroot bartender was a super cool dude and he was given 4 Breakside bottles to taste. Tried the pilsner and the Wanderlust IPA, which is one of the best things I've tried out here.

4bd Populuxe DIPA.

They're holding a naming contest for this beer that was brewed specifically for this bottleshop/taproom: Ballard Beer Co.

Coming up north? I spent much of the past 3 days driving on 101 on the Olympic Peninsula.

Did you make it to Port Townsend? Awesome scenery. The movie "An Officer and a Gentleman" was filmed there.

Port Townsend Brewing is supposed to be pretty good.

Thunderstorm cut my run short. Gotta love the middle of the summer. At least it cooled off.

1 b d / Ezekiel's Wheel Pale Ale by Burnt Hickory Brewery

I like this a lot better on draft than in bomber. Nice hop crispness and no heat from the abv makes for a good summer drinker.

I hope all the FBDers who went west this summer took notes for when I'm there in a few weeks. San Francisco to Portland.
