It's really good for cheap beer. I like their black and tan.

quote:I'd agree with that, only tried it once and didn't finish it. Yuengling heavy is one of my favorites though.
Yuengling Light on the other hand is a complete and total shite beer. One of the worst available.

It's a pretty solid cheap brew IMO. They're all over Florida

They haven't made their way here or Mississippi yet. Supposedly, they're building (or have just built) a new facility in Tampa Bay to meet current demand. We probably won't have the luxury of being able to purchase Yuengling here for another 10 or so years. I'll try to find the article that I read about a year ago. Give me moment.
ETA: Didn't find the article, but looked on their website. Also, the Tampa location was completed some time ago and also sustained a fire that caused nearly $1M in damages in 2013.

If the demand is present, why won’t Yuengling enter more states?
Yuengling is a regional brewery that has manufacturing facilities in Pottsville PA and Tampa FL. It simply is not logistically feasible to transport beer outside of our current footprint.
Yuengling is proud to have had ongoing expansions over the past years. The current focus is on those loyal customers that we currently supply. Continuing to provide quality beer and service to meet the existing demand is what the Yuengling family values above growing territory.

What is next for expansion?
There are several exciting new things happening at Yuengling. Our Tampa brewery is currently adding a new brew house. The Tampa facility is presently a 450 to 475 barrel brewery; the addition will bring the capacity to brew 675 barrels. Yuengling is continuously reinvesting in the company, making upgrades and improvements to ensure that America’s Oldest Brewery will be running for future generations. Growth in regard to geography will depend on our ability to produce and ship quality product.

Anyone know where I can pick up a 4-pack of Ghost In the Machine in BR? Need it for a gift.

Solid summertime cold beer.

Seems overrated to me. Certainly much much better than Bud, Coors, Miller, etc. but still nothing to get excited about IMO.

Because I'm not looking for Yuengling beer in Louisiana!

They dont distribute to states west of the Mississippi. Louisiana gets screwed I guess because the river runs through the state

If you like cheap, national, overrated, weak beer... it's for you.
My guess is they will need to build additional breweries west of the Mississippi before they get into new territories.

It's not bad. It's very common here in western PA.

It's actually in the very advanced stages of making its way to Louisiana.
Chances are it'll be here by next year.

Yuengling is truly overrated. Eventually it'll hit Louisiana like it did Georgia and everyone will lose their mind for a while. Then you'll realize it's just another serviceable beer. Nothing bad to say about it, just over hyped.
This.
With that said I have some in my beer fridge right now.

I'd shoot myself if I had to be a server or bartender these days.
Everyone likes to play Stump the Bartender and ask for shite that they know they won't have.

Why can't you find Yuengling beer in Louisiana?
Because Louisiana is run by Republicans who love freedom.

Would you mind showing me where you got that info?
Posted on 7/30/15 at 12:30 pm to Boudreaux35
Some people do overrate it. Almost always people from somewhere where you can't get it. It's an alright beer. It's a better alternative to BMC at around the same price, when you just want cheap beer. So that's when I drink it.
