1st of 3 drafts last night
8 team standard - non-PPR

1. Bell (3)
2. A. Brown (14)
3. Dez (19)
4. McCoy (30)
5. Cobb (35)
6. Forsett (46)
7. Foster (51)
8. D Jax (62)
9. M. Bennett (67)
10. Rams D (78)
11. Rivers (83)
12. Vinatieri (94)
13. Gates (99)
14. Sam Bradford (110)
15. Cards D (115)
16. Funchess (126)

Obviously I'm not real strong at QB. They were coming off the board real early. After the other 7 teams all picked QBs I thought I could get Brady, Romo, or Eli, but those cats started picking their backups before I ever got my starter. I know Bradford is an injury waiting to happen, but could produce in Kelly's offense I think. Maybe I can package a trade for a QB upgrade.

I probably picked a Defense early, but I was already stacked at RB and WR and there weren't any top notch QBs left there. A couple of D's had been chosen already at that point.
Anyway...Thoughts?

Bradford has looked good in preseason. If he does get hurt, you still have Rivers. 8 team leagues are so stacked. I moved from a 10 league to 12 league this year and feel like I'm really thin.

edit: This is my 2nd team. 12 team league. Snake. Non-ppr. Yahoo.
What do y'all think?

QB - Romo, Kaepernick
RB - Bell, Forsett, Gordon, Gurley, Spiller
WR - Dez, Davante Adams, Maclin, Quick(probably dropping him for Kendall Wright)
TE - Daniels, Fleener (dropping him for Heath Miller)
K - Novak
D - Cleveland

That's a really good team for 12 team. I would try to deal Bradford for a stud RB if he has a good start to his season.

Nice squad if Adams pans out. Romo will be top 10, Bell top 3, Forsett top 10 (he gonna eat IMO) with some serios RB depth

I'm high on Daniels at TE and I think Quick has a good year with Foles. I'd start Maclin over Adams early season

Good looking team for a 12 team. Hopefully Maclin has a decent season bc you're pretty thin at WR

I know. My plan is to deal an RB for a WR when Bell is back.

Awesome looking team, especially if Foster comes back at the end of September like they're saying

That being said your team looks solid but I don't like Ivory as a RB2, however others here will prob disagree

How about posting my team twice yesterday after offering analysis and getting nothing? Just figured I'd try again.

I see that now. My apologies I haven't had lunch yet and I'm slightly grumpy

I would start Jennings in Flex over Abdullah - at least for a game or two to see how the Lions use him. I would also try to pick up Knile Davis if available. I may be wrong, but I'm avoiding Cruz this year. I just don't think he's going to be able to recover from his injury.

Well I don't really like him as that either. I am secretly hoping that Jennings or (more likely) Abdullah rise up to RB2 status and I can slide Cruz or a waiver pickup into my flex or simply put Ivory back to Flex.

Solid - Weak QB is the easiest to hide. The only thing is that if neither Yeldon / Cooper work out as real producers, you'll be left high and dry on flex / bye week play. Other than that the team will be good and most likely a contender.

That's the first time I've noticed someone try the Garoppolo/Brady strategy. Hope it works out. Your team may struggle until Foster/Brady get back, but it's going to be strong for the second half of the season.
