Nobody said the players don't. But you did say the media doesn't

Players who are on the court know that Green cheats his way to being a good defender. The refs may reward Green for illegal screens and drawing fouls on screens, but the players can see through that.

Okay why was Kawhi left off?

What is funny about it?

It doesn't hold a candle to the Rockets have the best roster in the NBA stuff though

I thought it was Houston vs Cleveland. I think most give credit to the Warriors.

Just the acting like an award that we have no idea how it was voted on and has just come into existence this summer means more than the actual MVP.

The MVP award was suddenly a sham the day Harden didn't win. It is ridiculous.

I tried to avoid that thread like the plague, but there was definitely talk of it being the best roster in the league when I finally decided to chime in

Do you have the full results somewhere? I haven't seen them. Perhaps players think Leonard is a bit overrated. Having help defense from Duncan and Green is a huge luxury that any lock down defender would love to have.

I'd have to see who they voted ahead of Kawhi to know for sure. But I think a lot of players realize that a low post defender is the most important thing for a defense. Without that, the Kawhis, Draymonds, and Butlers of the league look a lot more average.

It's definitely crazy that they left Draymond and Kawhi off of the "best defensive player" category.

You were rolling on the ground laughing after the first post.

You came to that conclusion after the first post in the thread? A post that was literally 2 pictures from the event with the title "James Harden wins the Players' NBA MVP award".

You were the first post in the thread. No discussion had taken place.

And you posted:

RTR is sure jumping to conclusions in this thread. You seem to believe Rockets fans say things that they don't. Makes sense to why you hate us so much.

The finalists were:
Allen, Butler, Davis, and Jordan

Just the nominees.

From that article:

quote:

Whether you think these awards are more fair or accurate than the traditional media ones largely will depend on whether your guy wins in his category. For example, don’t be shocked if James Harden wins the Players Award MVP, so if you were a Harden guy you will think the players got it right after the media screwed it up.

Holy shite you're delusional. Literally no one said this, but it's obvious you so badly want to believe that every rockets fan on this board is a blind homer. Step outside and get some air.

You are saying that we are acting like this means more than the media vote, but I really don't see that. Rockets fans are simply happy that their star player was given credit after an incredible season where he was arguably the most valuable player to his team.

ETA: Captain Fantasy nailed it.

To be fair, it was said that Curry won the award because he was "more likable".

I was very objective throughout the playoffs if you want to go back and look.

I am pretty objective whenever asked to rank the NBA teams.

I only really pipe up about them when I feel like they are being underrated like last summer when some were predicting them to fall out of the players.

Fair to what? To be fair, there has been a lot of ReTaRd speak going on in this thread from the jump.
