Going to a steak cooking for a birthday at a camp. Feller what's cooking has an R&V gas broiler that's gets up to about 1,200 deg. Thing is a beast and turns out some awesome meat

The 4clan took a trip to BR today to shop for furniture. We needed up meeting Thomas Magnum for supper at Coyote Blues. The assistant manager closely resembles a crack whore 80's rock band groupie. I was disappointed with the appearance of the staff overall, but that chimichanga doe.

Tried out the New York City apartment smokeless ribeye per BlackenedOut's rec via a GQ article about cooking stovetop steaks when you don't have a hood fan. Came out great. The crust was legitimate.

So FDT was a whole foods dry aged ribeye with a twice baked potato + heirloom tomato salad with red onion, lime zest, feta and mint.

Cava

Rabbit app was excellent.
Lamb entree was pretty good (white vegetable puree was awesome)
Snapper en papiollote was not so good
Tres leches was great

To piggyback on the other thread. It was disappointing to see two dudes in fishing shirts, shirts and boat shoes in the restaurant. We arent at the beach. This is a nicer restaurant. Put some nice clothes on.
