White pants would be pretty cool. And I'm sure it's not popular opinion, and I don't want it to be permanent. But one time I think it would be cool to see a black helmet with gold Fleur de Lis.

We have to get rid of the racist fleur de lis. 
The only thing would be the collar and adding a gold stripe to the black pants.
I do also miss the Louisiana patch and logo. If they wanted to create a Crescent City Football logo to go along with what the Pelicans have, that would be cool.

I feel like the white jersey top should be our home/main jersey. It actually looks good with black pants so that we can wear black pants as our home look and gold (yes, back to true gold) pants as an away look.

Just no more black on black. That would be a 100% improvement.
I always liked the white on white look with the more coppery-gold that you posted. No one else in sports uses that shade of gold, and it is fine.
I would go back to that in a heartbeat.
