Michael McNamara just tweeted that. We'll be one of the top 3 or 4 teams in the running for signing him. I guess it will be Washington, OKC, Lakers, Knicks, and the Pelicans. I think it will come down to us and the Wizards and I think he will decide to come to Nola to play with AD. Who thinks otherwise and why?

Me. Because anyone outside of the 504 would rank us at best 3rd on that list.

Ughhh

Good luck finding anyone who isn't a Pels fan that has the Pels in the top 3 or 4 to land Durant.

Depends on what the LAL or Knicks can do, how OKC does next season and how we play next season as well. Obviously having AD locked up and if he continures his maturation and becomes what he is capable of superstars are going to want to come to NOLA. Rings are more valuable to a player and to his marketing ppl that location. However, if Phil Jackson can get a team in the knicks or the LAL get their heads out their arse and can compete he will go their so he can have both rings and large market.

About 25 teams will have max contract space. Everyone's plan A is to make a run at Durant.

Unless he is pissed at OKC management, he's a very good bet to stay. One thing we've learned from FA is that top shelf guys are looking at the entire picture and not just money/city.

The Thunder were a 60 win team yearly until injury disaster last season. They maybe have a title if injuries don't strike during the playoffs 2 and 3 years ago. If they regain that form, and smart money is that they will, with health, it's hard to pass that up to go to Wizards/Pelicans teams that will likely not have made it to even the conference Finals.

That is pure speculation. Durant is every team's Plan A next season. I would love to think we had a great chance of getting him, but at best we would be behind OKC and Washington. I would love to think AD would draw him here. But, even now, we are seeing some of the smaller FAs that we have been rumored to have offered, choosing to go elsewhere. So, does the AD draw overcome the small market hurdle? Who knows?

I'd say the teams that would actually be considered by KD would be OKC, Washington, Lakers, Houston, and maybe one other team.

And before you call me a homer for putting Houston in there... they have Harden, who is one of Durant's bros.

And you know Morey's plan is to go hard after Durant.

I've talked to a person close to the Heat organization who says that KD is their #1 priority for next season. Hence, not signing Wade to a lucrative 3 year deal, which he initially wanted. As a Florida resident, KD can save millions of dollars by not having to pay state income taxes, which is a huge upside if you ask me. Not to mention playing for a Pat Riley run organization in a town as fun and enticing as Miami. Take that with a grain of salt I guess, but I have no reason to think that it's bad information.

This has probably already been said but how we do this season will go a long long way in determining what are chances with landing KD are.

McNamara looking for clicks. The Pelicans won't sign Durant. Period. i'd consider it a huge coup if we could even make it into his top 4.

If the Pelicans sign Durant, I will masturbate at midcourt using Tabasco sauce as lube.
