Do you really think a team with Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant would struggle with getting prime time games?

If healthy KD and AD are the second and third best players in the NBA. Maybe not the favorites in year 1, but years 2-4 they'd probably be prohibitive favorites in Vegas.

OKC gets a shite ton of prime time games. It's such a glamour market.

Look at Lebron his first stint in CLE, couldn't get anyone to go to CLE to play with him until he WON a championship in Miami and returned to Cleveland. OKC couldn't land Gasol last year with 2 top 5 players, he preferred to go to a bigger market/city.
You guys do realize San Antonio is a small market team and look at what they have done.

I agree, but to play devil's advocate:
Harden/Howard and Russ/Ibaka are better existing duos to join than AD and Holiday/Evans. If it's about the titles for Durant, the Pels need to impress this season and rise to contender status.

Yea that's probably why I Said I know I am being biased. I know we have work to do if we want to land KD. However if you sit back and think. If there is one person in the league that I as KD Would like to play with not named lebron, who would that person be. AD tops that list in my mind.

Yeah, because a combo of KD/AD wouldn't be a contender
or be in prime time, all the time.

We all know Westbrook is not staying in OKC you can bank on it. Then what KD only superstar on that team, not gonna happen.
You are aware the Westbrook will be in OKC after this year right? He's not an FA until 2017.

I've talked to a person close to the Heat organization who says that KD is their #1 priority for next season. Hence, not signing Wade to a lucrative 3 year deal, which he initially wanted. As a Florida resident, KD can save millions of dollars by not having to pay state income taxes, which is a huge upside if you ask me. Not to mention playing for a Pat Riley run organization in a town as fun and enticing as Miami. Take that with a grain of salt I guess, but I have no reason to think that it's bad information.

This has probably already been said but how we do this season will go a long long way in determining what are chances with landing KD are.

As others have said. We need to win a minimum of 50 games (probably closer to 55). We need to get to the 2nd round and be competitive. We need to see another step forward for Anthony's game. We need Holiday to play at least 70 games. We need Gentry's system to work as planned. We need to have at least a top 10 defense. We need OKC's front office and new coaching staff to suck.
All of those things happen and then we'll have SOME legitimate chance. If any of those things don't happen, our chances shoot way down imo.
Right now I'd say it's 80% that he stays in OKC. I know it's hard for some to remember because it was a little over a year ago, but OKC is STACKED. When healthy they are a top 2 or 3 team in the entire league talent wise. And they're young. They're not as young as us, but they aren't that far off.

You mean state income tax?
Sure that is a common argument, but why wouldn't all superstars go play in Florida if that fact REALLY mattered to them?

Yea I don't think the state income tax thing is THAT big of a deal. It's a factor, but I think it's overstated.
Especially for superstars who already will be making a shitload of money in contracts and endorsements. Going to the best situation team wise >>>>>>>>>>> state income tax considerations. The money and exposure to be made from getting to/winning the finals is going to dwarf state income tax savings.
Now if we're talking about a near-retirement vet who has 2 or 3 years left in the tank, then that might be a bigger factor.
