I would definitely not give up my wife, my soul mate after all we have been through together for 5 million dollars.

im sure a lot would sleep with you or even be willing to marry you. Certainly not the same though as soul mate (or if that term is way too cheesy than someone who truly makes you happy).

$5 million/year, maybe, but not $5 million one time. Some of ya'll are severely underestimating the price tag of the life style you are looking for. I'd take the girl. $5 million isn't even enough to pay all of my servants for a year.

I would take the money easily. I am sure there is more than one woman out there that I can get along with.

There's no such thing as a soul mate. Only a few people that you can get along and have in common with.

If soul mate were a reality concept, then most people end up with someone else other than his/her soulmate. Since it only takes one person to screw up the start a chain reaction. Sally is meant to be with John. But Sally ends up with Robert. So John is ends up with his wrong soulmate who is Rachel. Rachel's soul mate is Teddy. But Teddy can't be with Rachel since Rachel is with John. So Teddy ends up with Abby. And on and on it goes.

5 million is more than enough to live a comfortable life banging whores not having to worry about my soul mate cause she's in a better place.

There are plenty of women with a net worth greater than 10 million. I would pick her and if it didn't work out I would just take half of hers....do I win?

Of course this is the right answer. I would lay down my life right now if my soul mate (wife) could have that five mil. Some of you guys are shallow and selfish or just young as frick.

The OP stated that the hypothetical was giving up the one woman that you are most compatible with of everyone on Earth.

At the risk of starting the pearl clutching, the odds that of billions of females, you just happened to marry your perfect match are slim so chances are you could keep the 5 million AND your wife.

You already have issues if you are truly depependent upon 1 individual for your complete happiness.

You are asking for the trouble/ hurt.

you better watch your mouth. Queer is a derogatory politically incorrect offensive insult that is usually not tolerated on this board.

eta: you better watch your mouth, seriously!

If I knew what profession she had, it would be easier to answer.

Nothing to think about at all.

Give me the $5 million & a good bit of freedom/ peace of mind that comes with it.
