Anybody have a pistol suppressor?

I'm thinking about getting a pistol suppressor. I really liking the looks of the Silencerco Osprey. Supposedly you can run stock sights with it which is a big plus, and everything I've read so far seems to be really good. The only thing that has me thinking twice is I don't think there is much use for it outside of having fun at the range.

If you get a .45cal suppressor, you can use it for a few different purposes.
45cal will obviously work with 40 and 9mm. Also, you can shoot a host of rifle rounds trough it, all subsonic though.

Yes. And it's currently in NFA jail so I can't pick it up

It would suppress the muzzle flash as well. My pistol is crazy loud, and the muzzle flash is substantial. If shite went downhill at my house and I was firing it down my long hallway at night, I doubt I'd be able to get a follow up shot off due to being blind and disoriented from the flash-bang. It is fun as all get out at the range (outdoor...obviously it sucks at an indoor one) because of these characteristics though.
It's a compact 357sig.

Next time, find a gun range with a Class III FFL. You can shoot it at that range, then they lock it back up when you're done. Once the paperwork clears, it's all yours.

I have a rifle suppressor so I wont be running rifle rounds through it.

Can you hunt with a rifle suppressor? I was under the impression that you can't.
ETA: I'm probably wrong.

Yes, you can in Louisiana now.

Look at the Octane 45 instead of the Osprey. I have an Octane and it is the shitznit. The Osprey is not user serviceable unlike the Octane.

A more practical use: Keep it on your home defense weapon so you don't blow up your eardrums if you ever fire your gun indoors.
I keep my Mk9 9mm SBR with a Tirant9 under my bed for that very reason. I keep Remy 147Gr JHP subs in it for home defense.

9mm subs for HD? No thanks.

I love my .45 Osprey!
Main host is a Springfield Loaded but I also have a G23 with threaded barrel. Just have to swap pistons but that only takes a couple minutes. You can sling some lead outta that Glock in a hurry.
My stock Novak sights work fine during ample light. But they are solid with no dots. When the sun goes down its hard to see them with the lack of contrast against the can. The top of the sights is the same height as top of can.
It's on my list to send the slide to Springfield for a Tritinum dot install. My slide has no dovetail so I can't do it myself.
I only hunt with suppressed rifles and pistols now. Shot a non-typical 18pt last year with .300 Blackout H&R. 125gr ballistic tip. It went about 15 feet.

The rounds I use travel at 1000ft per second and have 320FT lbs of energy from a 147 grn which has the same energy as most 124 gr standard pressure rds.
