With ISIS carving out more territory each day, why haven't they attacked Israel?

Their headquarters is very close to Israel, yet they don't seem to be focused on Israel at all...or at least we haven't heard about attempted attacks.
The United States and Shia Muslims seem to be their public enemy #1, but I thought Israel was the big bad boogeyman in that region for all Muslim sects.
Seems odd.

ISIS's game is to go after failed states. They go where organized, competent armies and unsympathetic populations aren't. That's why they're picking a fight in the power Vacuum of Eastern Syria, in anarchic Libya, in the Sunni territories of Iraq, and against the Kurds. Israel is too organized for them to fight at this point. ISIS needs more men, more armor, and fewer unconquered foes in the field before they can even think of challenging Israel.

ISIS are ruthless and crazy; I wouldn't put it past them to actually go after Israel eventually.
They're already in Gaza, threatening to topple Hamas.
And Big O is not overly fond of Israel...it will be interesting to see what happens.

Israel looks the other way while ISIS takes down the Syrian regime, which Israel sees as a greater threat. ISIS doesn't bother Israel as long as Israel leaves them alone.
The Middle East is a lot more complicated than people in the US want to believe. We don't have any friends over there, just allies of convenience. That includes Israel. And I believe Israel has the right to exist, and to defend itself. But I don't idealize them.

Israel has a very capable military (complete with nukes) and they would just love to use it...
