I went there last year and camped out on the beach. That was a mistake. I packed up my crap and headed out July 4th day, the line of people waiting to get on the expressway was at least 2 miles long. I didn't know they could fit that many people on the island.

they should have never closed down the prepay place in golden meadow instead of making EVERYONE wait in Leeville to pay the toll. its a PITA for everyone who works in Fourchon too. what, the second lane for the people with the pass is only like a 1/4 mile long?

I thought about going for the day tomorrow, leaving Lafayette at around midnight and just truck nap until the morning. Now I'm not sure I want to deal with all that mess.

you're obviously not familiar with the way my fishing trips usually go. Last time I forgot cash at the bait shop and managed to put a hook through my hand. Does look like a good weekend to fish though, weather/wind look good, decent tidal movement, full moon. I still might go. True story, I've never caught a limit of fish in my life besides red snapper.

I had started making a list of recovery items to bring along to try to make some side cash just incase.
Kinetic straps
High lift jacks
Engineer friend
Graphing calculator
Ford Ranger
Then I realized I don't have enough room to pack all that stuff. So I'm bringing beer and a lawn chair.
