Is she really the best or is she lucky our D is so damn strong? She seriously has had to make maybe 1 real save all tournament.

She made 2 really good saves against the Aussies... other than that, she hasn't had to do much.
But she's the best GK in the game and it isn't really close.

I find it weird that she tries to punch away some shots that she should be able to easily catch.

It's called too scared to make a mistake. Can't really argue against it. It's always safety first. We were EXTREMELY lucky Johnston wasn't sent off.

Maybe the ref noticed the necklace the German player was wearing that Johnson's hand got caught on and didn't want to escalate it further.

Without re-watching, I thought at first she would have been sent off. Then one of the replays (at the time) made me think it wasn't a bad decision. It seemed like the ball was going to get away from the attacker either way, so the foul didn't prevent a goal-scoring opportunity.
