My rescue is named Poboy, bc he was in bad shape and had 5 names on his forms. Figured he would respond to boy, and he was in poor shape - 19 lbs (now 36 lbs and normal).

I have always had pitbull mixes, I will share with you names of my favorite dogs. Some of these were named when I was a kid, but they have withstood the test of time..:
Angus (I hesisitate to share this with you because he was the best.dog.ever. Maybe his name should be retired, but then again, others should share his legacy. Of course he was black. The dog looked like the devil himself.
Ashley and Rhett - obvious reference, you might want to steer clear of them these days..
Trigger - his namesake was a horse, but this was a damned big dog
Bear - no comment necessary
Johnny - he too was black
Dusty - He was tan
Gray - he was a blue nose
Linus - maybe Snoopy was too obvious???
