And I know it's pretty much SOP everywhere, but I might consider a membership if I didn't still have to pay a frickin cart fee. Wtf is with this? From what I've seen, all courses do this

Easy money for the course. I agree it is aggravating

Most courses also have a monthly cart plan option

It's good for people like me. I only play a couple of times a month so I don't buy the cart plan because it takes 7-8x a month to break even on cart plan where I play

Its good they don't include carts because it would be a higher membership price which would only benefit some

True. Guess that's how they get a usage fee. They oughta call it a divot fee, lol

Didn't know this. How much does a cart plan usually run?

I play at greystone. I think the individual cart plan is something like 125 per month roughly.

A one round cart fee is like 17 bucks, so I usually just pay that when I play instead of the plan. I also walk sometimes. Having a cart plan would make me want to walk even less

There's no way. They're already struggling financially.

I think the whole decision to go private is a bad decision - I guess I'll play elsewhere

I thought it was private - at least one of its courses.

No there was talk in the past about it being private but it never surfaced. The "get ready golf" course is the former 18 hole lake course that was converted to 9 holes. The link course has always been public

Nope..... I believe they actually closed the Lake course last year, didn't they?

That's right.... They ended up just closing 9 holes of the Lake course

Fwiw I had a membership over the past 12 years I have lived at ppt - two different occasions. The first one was unlimited golf including a cart plan and I figured I needed to play at least 6 times per month just to break even.
The last membership I had didn't include the cart plan - I decided to purchase my own golf cart thinking that they'd waive the cart fee since I was using my own cart - but I learned to never assume anything.
I got the cart at a great deal from a neighbor but I guess that's ok
