this isn't just some some shitty show that got cancelled bc it sucks though
There's a lot of shows like this and most never get picked up
I just wouldn't get your hopes up

quote:I see what you are saying. But this was the type of show that belonged on Cable, Premium or Stream television to begin with. The concept is entirely too complex for a network like NBC. You know they have to keep making useless episodes of Law & Order SUV and series like "The Slap".
Someone says this about every show that gets cancelled
It happens to like <2% of shows. It's a rare thing. I wouldn't feel "confident" about that

I've read that Amazon has shown some interest in it.

would be a great pick up for Amazon

This was the one time I was willing to give network TV a chance. Because they put a niche drama on during the summer and let it grow.

It also didn't help that during episode 1 & 2. Hannibal went toe to toe with the NBA Finals for ratings.

While this sucks, it was actually one of their lowest rated shows. its listed at 1.98 million viewers. the slap (#20) had 3.62 million.

#Hannibal was always in danger of cancellation due to subject matter, and others have expressed interest in partnering with us.

NBC does deserve a little bit of props for sticking with Hannibal for so long despite poor ratings. Most networks wouldn't take a shot on such a dark, violent show.
That said this really sucks. Season three has been great so far. It looks like no other show on TV.

Also, @BryanFuller has told me on more than one occasion that the show had suitors if NBC ever axed it. So, hope lives on. #Hannibal

wow that's too bad. never saw the show but i heard it was really good. I might have checked it out if it stuck around longer

Really disappointing. This was my favorite show on tv right now. Hopefully it gets picked up by someone else.

Seriously, frick NBC and all network TV channels. You wonder why people are cutting the cord and deciding to stick with Netflix & Amazon Prime. This is exactly why. You cut good TV Dramas like Hannibal, SouthLAnd & Black Donnellys for bullshite television like "The Slap" or "The Voice".
This, once my contract with DTV is up I'm going HULU, HBO go and we already have prime and netflix. Just worried about Pelicans Bball and ESPN.
