Florida coming out of the loser's bracket does not have to play three days in a row assuming they go to game 2 against Virginia. LSU has to play three days in a row to go to finals. They should have both played yesterday or today, but I know....TV money. Does anyone else think that this gives Florida an unfair competitive advantage?

If you're worried about someone else's competitive advanatage coming out of the loser's bracket, then stay out of the loser's bracket.

Well, sure, but Florida is also in the loser's bracket. I understand the 'take care of business' concept, but this seems kinda off.

Would you like some cheese with that whine?

LSU has to play the card they dealt themselves.

LSU asked to play their Super Regional starting on Saturday. That basically set us up to play a day behind. None of us wanted to play on the first day of the CWS to make sure we had pitching ready... At some point you have to make up the day. This isn't nearly as big of a deal as people think IMO. We play three days in a row every single week.

Some of you people really don't seem to understand time.

Would it be an issue if the schedule "favored" LSU? This is the way it has been done for years. 1 group starts on Saturday (I think it use to start on Fridays a few years back) the other group starts the next day. At some point, they have to put an extra day off for the team that started that early day.

While they could do 4 games those first 2 days, it would be a bit of an overload; plus the ratings will always be a driving factor. Especially for a sport that never seems to get a mention on SC unless there is a top 10 play. And, the only way to find any news about it (outside of the individual team pages) is to search some back site on a handful of sports sites.

It's not like this is a new CWS schedule.

That makes sense. Thanks for the input.

The alternative is cramming 4 games into one day, like in Hoover. Then you'd have teams playing til 12 or 1 am, and that's without summer popup storms delaying things. Then you'd be bitching about how these games are crammed together and they go so late.

Not a big deal at this time of year

Just wish we had more pitching depth. Maybe Person or Bain will pull a Brandon Bowe and give us an extraordinary effort.

If we had won we would have had the advantage because the team we were facing had to play 3 in a row. We should stop being so paranoid about how we are getting screwed and just win the games we are in.
