Cam Newton.
Doesn't look like he'll get there, but it's a reasonable thought. Not so much for his NFL performance, but he's obviously an elite athlete with size and persona to match. A lot of wow factor there, which is a hallmark of MJ, Bo Jackson, Lebron, Tiger, etc. But, he's not going to end up with the requisite achievements, most likely.
That may be the difference in perception, even for high end guys like Brady (playmaking, wow factor, I mean). The video game-like ability of Bo and MJ and Tiger is something I just don't see Trout, Anthony Davis, etc. getting to.

You need the same things minus the things that you don't need? No shite, huh?

Fine, take out football and all the others are equal.

Maybe it's because I'm relatively new to soccer, but of all sports, soccer is the one where I go "holy shite how do they do that" the most often.
That's not to say it is the most exhilarating of major sports, but I think even the soccer-haters, if they sat and watched Barca or some other top team on attack, would have to admit that it is very impressive to witness.

The only two sports that really make me think that is soccer and hockey. Football, basketball, and baseball just don't give me that "holy shite!" moment. I love Alabama football and basketball, but what happens on the field rarely impresses me.

I think the better question is
In what sport will the next GOAT(or GOAT discussion worthy player) come from

I dunno but there are a couple in baseball. Anthony Davis in the NBA is a good one.
Of course, Aaron Rodgers is already tGOAT in football.

What if I told you that Matt Ryan has only 400 less career passing yards than Rodgers AND is two years younger?
Rodgers is great but he essentially lost 3 seasons and is already 31. His final cumulative numbers may not be there with some of the others, depending on how long he plays. He strikes me as a guy who may hang it up early
