Messi is doing it in Soccer.
Someone explain this to me....I thought this guy was the current GOAT soccer player....He was hot shite during the world cup. Now Messi is? Keep in mind I am not even close to watching soccer unless its the US in the world cup or olympics.

dude is always hurt it seems.
He has had 1 year where he missed significant time. He's not really any worse than Brady. You are grasping at straws.

Messi has always been better than Ronaldo
For a while it was a debate but the last few years its not even close.
Ronaldo has won the last two FIFA player of the year but everyone agrees Messi is better.

Actually, ROdgers' stats are better.
Maybe percentages, but no way yardage, TD's etc are better. Manning has more yrs in the league.

Messi is a better player than Ronaldo and has been for a while now. Ronaldo has more critical acclaim and publicity because he grew up and was hyped in a much bigger market, has legendary good looks and is an international celebrity figure.

I didn't know England and Germany became third world countries.
England and Germany are not the reason it is the most popular sport in the world. It is because it is easy for Africa, South America, the poor people in Asia, and Central America to play it. England likes cricket too, but that doesn't make it among the most popular sports in the world.
I am trying to understand how you thought that because developed countries also liked it that you somehow refuted my point when clearly the preponderance of third world country residents far outweighs developed country residents.

it absolutely is. just not relevant here, at all. India, Pakistan, etc are massive countries.
Certainly bigger than Baseball, Football(American), etc

Leonard Fournette. There, I said what everyone else was thinking.

Andrew Luck - football
Neymar - soccer

Brady is arguably one of the GOAT QB's.
Brady, less Moss and Welker, is nothing more than a glorified Joe Flacco on great teams with a great coach.

Ronaldo was never better than Messi. Never.

It's not any easier to play soccer than it is to play baseball, soccer, football, cricket, basketball, etc.

From a financial perspective, yes, soccer is easier to play than most of the those, especially football.

Not to the extent that most of the third world countries play. If you say all it takes is a ball and sticks to make a goal, then you can say the same about every sport I listed above.

No. You have to have pads, helmets, and equipment to play football. It is pretty much impossible to play real football in an easy pick up format. Eta: it is expensive to field even youth football groups. This is where a sport gains popularity with a population. How many high schools in third world countries can afford to equip a football team? Is it the norm?
This is not the same with soccer. All you need is a ball and a bit of space, and you can play essentially the same game that the pros play.

You need the same thing for soccer minus the helmet and a few pads. You also don't need every pad the pros use to field a youth football team. Football is pretty similar to rugby and you still don't see as many people playing rugby (cheaper than soccer) in these third worlds as you do soccer.
