Jurassic World was trying to be "serious" and just looked ridiculous. It's going to get a pass though because it's Jurassic World.

Ya know, it seems to have been heavily edited. At times, the characters were saying things without any context. Like did Claire even meet D'Onofrio's character until close to the end, then was all up in his face. Anyway, wouldn't you want them to be saving you and the rest of the island at that point? You just saw the raptors rip into a group of security guys - viscously killing them and chasing your nephews.

Just seeing the dinosaurs again was kinda cool though. The nostalgia was the thing with this movie. I hated the second and third movies due to the minor characters (Goldblum's daughter in LW and the the couple in JIII - both should have been eaten alive). This one was not so bad.

Saw it over the weekend.

Best way I can sum it up for me was that there were a lot of really stupid parts/things throughout the movie, the acting was overly bad at times, and it was stupidly cheesy at times. But I liked it because dinosaurs. The fact that it was basically Jurassic Park 2.0 made some of the things I just listed not a huge deal. So while it was pretty stupid at times, I still really enjoyed it.

If that makes sense.

It was eh, nostalgia was great though. Not sure if I have any interest to watch again unless I catch it on USA on a lazy sunday a few years from now.

There were just so many things that made absolutely no sense.

But I'm the kind of person who will love JP movies almost no matter what.

I am a type of person that will usually like anything but this movie is the same story we have seen before. How many times can dinosaurs start killing people until you finally figure out we shouldn't open a theme park with dinosaurs?

We're all entitled to an opinion and all..... but did you go into that movie thinking the dinosaurs weren't going to escape?

Hmmm....

The only similarity is that there are dinosaurs involved. Saying it's the same story as the first is just incredibly lazy and not accurate at all.

He's the only one from the first films that wasn't dead or aged 20 years (seriously that guy might be a cyborg, he hasn't aged in 20 years)

I'll give you this. It was kind of a lazy plot device to just be able to be like "oh yeah we put this in there too", but I mean, it wasn't a big deal. Finding a new big bad other than the T-Rex was probably hard enough

Yeah, and just because those kids fixed one car, doesn't mean they can patch up a 20 year old rusted vehicle in 10 minutes but I like that they brought out the old equipment like that

Well you wouldn't have a movie if you couldnt

I did laugh at the ending where the T Rex which is just as dangerous as the Andominus Rex, is just kind of let free and no one cares about it

"Ok guys the one giant killing dinosaur is dead, turn off the computer, job is done, just ignore the other huge killing dinosaur"

So at the end the megladon realizes he can jump onto the embankment? He never thought to do that before with all of the people on it?

Plus I thought new t-Rex was supposed to be bigger and badder, the old t-Rex was same height and just as mean.

I assumed they have shocker systems usually to prevent this, but they were down obviously at the end

Well to be fair she was over 20 years old.

I just assumed that is why she got her arse handed to her so easily at first.

They obviously replaced the battery with the one from the utv they passed. That was obvious

Now the gas is another story

Maybe it just appeared out of place, I mean it was only a railing. So only way to know about the shock would've been to do it before. I mean they didn't shock it for jumping.
Was an entertaining flick, a lot of holes if I wanted to nit pick but that was a major one for me. I was like, "wtf, why didn't he jump out and eat all the people earlier."

That's because they want it to do that

The shock could've been only around the edges to prevent it from eating people

Either way it was an awesome scene
