Here's a story from ant's past.
Probably 10 years ago, I ran up on two white trash kids fighting in the Wal Marks. One was about 14 and the other was about 9. The 14 year old was just pummeling the 9 year old.
I walked up on it and verbally broke it up. As I walked away, the older kid pushed the little one into the end cap and knocked some inventory over. I told the kid to follow me, and turned him over to store management.
A few days later, I was back in the store, saw the manager and he filled me in on what happened next. He kicked them out of the store - the older kid went back and told his white trash dad that I physically pushed him off of him and that I hurt him. He came up screaming lawsuit, police were called. He said the police viewed the video tape and told the dad in the middle of his rant that the only thing I did was save him a trip to the emergency room.
But I learned to never get involved in anything like this. I never thought I would ever question breaking up two kids in a violent fight in a public space, but I won't do it - the bystander is right - these days everyone is looking for a reason to sue.

That was deeply depressing to watch. That kid doesn't have a prayer in life. He will be in and out of jail his entire life.
