High cholesterol; no care.
You do realize that not all cholesterol is bad, right?
Also, eggs are essentially the most efficient naturally -occurring source of protein available for dietary consumption.

Eggs are very healthy. I try and eat as many as I can, but usually turns out to be just two a day.
What's the healthiest way to eat them? I've been eating them hard-boiled lately.

I eat a lot of eggs. Only like 3 days a week but when I do I eat like 5 of them. Fried in bacon grease of course.

Dietary cholesterol has minimal impact on blood cholesterol. Moreover, you NEED cholesterol to make important things, like testosterone.
Also, the traditional blood tests are bullshite. We KNOW that cholesterol counts are directional at best, and that you need LDL particle tests to determine a real cholesterol issue, but it's gonna take a while for most medical offices to transition.

The healthiest way is to eat the egg whites only, but that tastes like shite. As long you don't fry them or cook them an oil that is high in transfats.

Boiling eggs adds no extra fat. One large, hard-boiled egg has 5.3 grams of fat, 6 grams of protein,186 milligrams of cholesterol and 78 calories.
Just dont't eat more than 4-7 eggs/wk and exercise and you will be good to go.

A healthy person could eat 3 times that and likely not increase there risk of any heart conditions. The "eggs are bad" days are coming to an end.

They have already ended. Nutionists and medical doctors have been saying for the last 5 years that eggs are not a health risk when eaten in moderation. They are loaded in cholesterol, but since only 20% of our cholesterol comes from diet and the rest is manufactored in the body then they don't have a major impact. However when you eat too many egss (like anything else moderation is the key) or other dietary cholesterol it downregulates cholesterol production in the body. That starts to get the LDL/HDL ratio out of wack and then if you smoke, eat too many transfats, are exposed to other forms of exogenous reactive oxygen species (ROS) or not consume sufficient anti-oxidants. The ROSs will interact with the LDL to produce a mutated form of LDL that is not metabolized in the same way as normal LDL and that cause cholesterol to accumulate in the cells (especially epithelium of blood vessels) and start to block blood vessels. It also causes arteries to harden faster than normal and that will cause heart problems later on in life.
Most of these studies that the sites like factbasednutrition or any other internet nutrition experts cite are usually short term studies and the site authors draw conclussions that are not what the studies are saying. So the ppl that say eating 15-30 eggs per week is healthy or that you can eat 4 steaks/week are just as wrong as those saying that you should eliminate eggs and steaks or other red meat. Moderation and balance is the key to good health. Eat a balance diet, consume alcohol in moderation, get moderate amounts of exercise every day (20-60 minutes) and don't smoke and it really won't matter what you eat.

ohhhhh, you're talkin commercial grade.
I've been paying $3.50 a doz for free range for quite some time, and they cannot be compared to commercial laid eggs.
I'll never go back..... I eat about 1400 of them a year, that's about 400.00....not too bad [ not what I'd consider megabucks ]

So, unhealthy people.

Agreed. I still contend that healthy people could eat eggs over easy everyday of the week (and no one but my 10 year old cousin eats just 1 egg) and be completely fine, health wise. You and I both know that the medical research on subjects like this are always about drawing correlations and there are ALWAYS confounding factors that influence the outcomes (and therefore conclusions made) in the studies. I think we'll see a pretty drastic shift in what we deem a healthy diet in the next few years.

6-700? That's quite a large gap ??

I just swung through the McD's drive through for an egg mcmuffin and noticed that the cost for the ocmbo was about 25 cents more than normal...likely due to the clusterfrick of humanity that they hire to work the drivethrough...however, I have to say that this thread is the first thing that popped into my mind.

Damn, you almost sound like you know shite. I might actually reconsider my egg intake due to your post.
Without knowing really anything at all, I certainly agree that moderation is key. Overindulging of any one thing is not a good action.

It really is not that hard to understand, but there are so many ppl that prefer to use Dr. Google and anything on the internet to backup their lifestyles or beliefs. The key is to get ppl to realize what moderation is. IMO the biggest health problem that Americans face is not if we should or not eat eggs, eat high fructose corn syrup, eat organic or nonorganic, etc, but portion size is the problem. When ppl think that the Wendy's double cheeseburger is the normal size of a cheeseburger or that a cracker barrell's old timers breakfast is a normal size breakfast or that it is rude if you don't ask for seconds, is the real problem especially in the south. :stepsoffsoapboxandendsrant:

No. Cholesterol you eat is a foreign substance and does not get immediately shuttled into your blood stream. It is metabolized into its basic components, like everything we eat, and then those are distributed to where the body needs them. Cholesterol in the blood stream is a symptom of some other problem, e. g. being a lazy fat body, not the result of eating a lot of cholesterol.
High Cholsterol is mainly genetic. Familial hypercholesterolemia play s a big role. And when one has this, eating a lot of foods high in cholesterol increase bad holesterol levels , unlike most other people who do not have this inherited tendency
