One of these is not like the others. Got to be a story there.

Witchita falls makes that trip terrible. How about that long left curve. Thought I was gonna make a full circle

Gilmer to Gladewater, TX : a wonderful little mom and pop bottle shop just as you enter town. Very friendly people. The 13 mile return trip is even more scenic...

That's why I put a star next to the Seattle to Vancouver,BC one. I know it's a international drive. But the scenery on the way up to Vancouver is one of the best in the country.

Not the one I was talking about.
I can't think of a single thing worth seeing between Auburn and Athens.

Anytime I'm not at work (except for driving in West Texas) or anytime I'm going fishing.

A lot of great drives. I'll add the Kakamangus Hwy in NH

I saw more road side deer on Hwy 17 in one night than I have in the rest of my life combined.

Awesome drive, but be sure your passenger(s) aren't prone to car sickness. If they are, be sure to dope them up with Dramamine.
State route 1 is fun for about an hour, 101 moves a lot faster.
But those redwoods get mighty close to the road at night...

If you've got a set on you, take CA-96 through the klamath national forest. You couldn't even maintain 20mph on that road. Single wide but both directions.

If you make the mistake of looking out the window, there is nothing between you and a 800ft fall but 3 inches of gravel.

did that on my road bike on a hot 116 mile 'century'. going up the cherohala skyway after the ToTD was painful.

Now imagine this with blind curves with cyclists taking up a quarter of the lane and motorcyclists weaving in and out of no passing zones.
The area around Reyes Point north of SF made me want to kill quite a few people.
