Seems to be popular in them parts. I am not a lawyer though.

thought he was about to run through the battle with the piece of dragonglass like a thumbtack destroying WW. I guess stepping on the zombie looking ones is just as effective.
This is what I thought was about to go down
Also in regards to whoever posted about the trial by combat. I agree it does seem like it's a popular method of justice I do think that it may not apply in this case.. I think that was part of the reason someone in episode past said something to the effect of "normal methods won't work for this" talking about the trial

Do WW even know how to fight? These guys get wrecked when the opposer has a weapon that can kill them
clearly they just try to win by having greater numbers

I really liked how that Thenn made a big deal of telling Jon to grab the glass like he was about to do some serious damage with that axe. Then Frosty dodged two attacks, shattered old boys ax, and dispatched him with the quickness. Really cool fight scenes in last nights episode.

Can the WW and Wights not swim or get in the water?
They damn well better not be able to. If we see them later in the series swimming or getting into water, it will make the Hardhome scene suck for me.
It might be getting too technical, but I am pretty sure I saw the dead killing the wildlings in knee deep water. So they can at least get wet. I agree, though, they better not be able to swim with how close the boat was to them.
