288 is closed at medical center, museum district. It's completely underwater.

Jesus! Had no clue it was still hammering everyone. I went to bed about 11. Worst was past by that time up in The Woodlands. Steady rolling thunder all night though. Lightning tripped all our breakers and fried some electronics. Garage doors aren't working . But luckily I haven't heard of any flooding our way.

completely over Memorial and Allen Parkway at Montrose. Hope no one uses these roads to get downtown.
How I get to work every morning

I work in the galleria area and am being advised to not even bother coming in today.

i still haven't heard anything from my work but it would be monumentally stupid for me to try. Every route I can take to get downtown is closed basically. I usually leave around 7 so I'll probably give someone a call around then

Safe travels if you even try bro, it's fricking ridiculous out there.
My wife works at methodist in the med center and was told to find her way in somehow.

Yeah there's no way I will be trying. Maybe later this morning if it clears up. I feel for the people like your wife who are in jobs like that where they need to come in.

Cousin called, he's in Rosenberg on 59 north and cars are turning and heading south on the north bound lane. I told him to get his arse back home.

Yes Rosenberg/Richmond/Sugar Land got hammered I think. Like 10-12 inches of rain

Live on the edge of the heights and now I'm glad I didn't listen to the lady that said the Bayou never floods.

Is Minute Maid a pond yet? Regardless, the Astros would still win.

I may venture down by White Oak later to see how high it is

The good news is that KHOU is basically showing Chita Johnson on a loop. She fine.
