He’s a dangerous-looking man. A very good part this season.
Euron!

Father. Aged 50’s to 60’s, he’s one of the greatest soldiers in Westeros- a humorless martinet, severe and intimidating. He demands martial discipline in the field and in his home. It’s described as “a very good part” for next year and that he’s “centrally involved” in a protagonist’s storyline.
I was hoping Connington at first, but it seems as if this guy is none other than Randyll Tarley.

Who's the protagonist if it's Randyl? Margaery?

I'd imagine Sam. Randyll is nearly as central to Sam's life as Tywin is to Tyrion.

Ahh yeah I completely forgot where Sam is headed, in the books at least.

One of the best actors in the show that is always overlooked is this guy:
He absolutely owns Varys. I compare him to the Show Littlefinger because both have great writing and in my mind he does a far better job. The LF actor just comes across as too much of a mustache twisting villain and he changes his accent from scene to scene. Conleth Hill is Varys though.
I would also give a ton of credit to the actors that play Bronn and Osha. Those are 2 characters that have actually earned additional screen time in the Show over what they are in the books on the strength of the acting.
Have never been impressed with Show Cersei, she is far less interesting than the Book Cersei. Show Jaime has had some great moments but also has had some pretty mediocre ones where he looks like he isn't in the moment, typically when he is trying to be funny which just isn't Jaime's character. Show Loras is terrible, he has taken a "Knight that happens to be gay" and made him in to the "Gay Knight", of course the writers have helped but he has gone with it.
Disagree with those that dislike Sophie Turner as Sansa, I actually think she nails that role and has gotten stronger as an actress.
Tywin, Tyrion, High Septon, Red Viper, Ned Stark, Arya, Sam Tarly, Varys, Maester Aemon, Robert Baratheon, and Khal Drogo are all home runs from a casting perspective.
Dany and Jon Snow are good actors but not great. Emilia Clarke loses a lot of points with me because she has become so anti nudity. I will admit part of that is loving to see the hotness but more importantly that is who Dany is. She has no qualms about showing her body and it is part of her power and strength. She is super hot and will show off her body whenever she wants and screw whomever she wants because she is the Queen dammit and frick you. Clarke just has refused to do that since Season 1 and the character has suffered as she is constantly trying to hide her boobs (that everyone has already seen). Kit Harrington is a good actor but limited, he just doesn't seem to show a lot of range compared to some of the others.

The show really has some top notch nudity, the whores being by far the best of it.

I'm wondering if the "Fierce Warrior" of mixed ethnicity is going to be Khal Jhaqo.

A large boy, with an actor who is 10-12 but playing 7 or 8. He’s described as “a clever boy” who seems too large for his age. He’s big and tall but not fat. “Characterful squat features” are a plus for this part. it’s specified that this is a one-time appearance.
12 year old boy, with brown hair and blue eyes. He needs to use a Northern accent. He has scenes where he has to spar with a wooden sword. The length of the role isn’t specified.
7 year old boy with dark brown hair, a narrow face and green eyes. He also has a Northern accent. He also spars with the wooden sword, so it’s safe to assume it’s the same scene. This role is similarly open-ended, the description only stating that the character is being ‘introduced.’
i have a few crazy thoughts about the children.
Maybe the big boy is Robert and the other boy with green eyes is Ned and the 12 year old boy is Brandon. But why would they need a flashback of those three at that age?

Forgot about that. Still, the point is that now she has gotten shy and it isn't in line with Dany the character. Honestly much of the nudity in the show is pointless and for show but Dany's nudity is part of who she is. It will be interesting for instance if they show Cersei naked or try and get around it camera wise. Her nudity for the Walk has a lot of importance in the story and her character development because she is being truly humiliated to the masses. I don't care for the way it seems that fewer and fewer of the leading characters will show any nudity but they show a ton of nudity with extras or minor characters, it just isn't realistic.

I agree she has gotten stronger in the role, she was noticably weak at first - some of that was the writing of the character, but some of that was her.

Robert Baratheon
Another casting homerun I had forgotten. When you realize that the same actor played:
- the jolly fat squire in Knight's Tale - that's all you need to know to grade Mark Addy an "A" quality/talent actor.

My immediate thoughts are Big Walder and Little Walder
ETA-Misread that it was 3 actors

I don't know if I'd describe Robert as "a clever boy".
That one is a bit of a head scratcher.

Big Boy = Brandon
"Clever boy" = LF
Other boy = Ned
Who is flashing back? Brandon, Ned, Robert all dead - but it could be LF flashbacks - he thought back on those days in the novels, anyway.

Bran seeing the past from the tree?

I believe that Bran has access to any and everything that has ever taken place in front of a weirwood tree.

Could be. Did that happen in the books - flashing back to a similar scene? (I'm still way behind - I project to finish about the time this season wraps up.)

Could it be a flashback of Jon and Robb?

which makes no sense since LF was certainly not big for his age.

This has been the speculation.
Maybe something from Littlefinger's POV?
