Not sure if anyone has seen this but this was posted on the OT this morning. I watched it this morning while drinking my coffee and literally spat out my coffee laughing.
Enjoy!

Yeah I explored for like 2 plus hours and my xp barely moved. Knocked out a few quests the next hour and I leveled up twice.

I will comment that these bandits are pretty brave folk. I would not stick around and fight after seeing my friend get cut in half.
Every single village apparently hangs people like it's going out of style.

No kidding. I ran across a black one soldier held captive by some townsfolk. He was deserting trying to go home to be with wife and kids, and they were going to hang him. I of course proceeded with my minimalist involvement attitude. So next cutscene I am standing below his hanging body. Loot it, all he has is a later from his wife detailing family history of how everyone had died except for son and wife, begging her husband to come home.

Good news is I only have about 6 or so ?'s left. So I'll follow the story unless I get close to one of those or a side quest. Should move along a little quicker now.
Also, not sure if anyone's fought that huge fricking bear guarding a PoP... but frick he wrecked me until I started using the shield (was still level 1 at the time).

There are a bunch of those. Most have been aroun level 6, which aren't that bad to deal with. I came across one yesterday that was a 20 iirc. First time he ruined me. Second time I tricked him and looted the treasure and strategically relocated myself to a safer distance, or in normal terms, ran away like a bitch.

I managed to get that PoP without aggroing the bear.

At least I'm not the only one progressing very slowly.
I finally left White Orchard last night, but I made sure to do everything possible, all the side quests and question mark locations.

I'm going very slow as well. The sidequests and cutscenes are incredibly well done. It seems to me they put just as much effort into the sidequest cut-scenes as they did the main story

I played for about 2 hours yesterday and all I did was explore the first region going to all the landmarks, its a very engrossing game.
Also, what level was everyone when they took on the gryphon?

The griffin was really easy. And I get fricked up by level 7 bandits constantly. I saw another Griffin in Velon and a swarm of harpy's. It was pretty cool. The harpy's were really easy to kill. The Griffin had a red skull by him so I ran away like a wuss.

I sailed to an abandoned fortress of some kind just to explore. When I came up on enemies that had a skull above them, I decided I didn't want to explore that particular fortress anymore. So I sailed away.

My biggest gripe about the game is the NPCs. They're not very dynamic. Spend more than 10 seconds in one spot and you hear the same line/conversation, and different NPCs say the same things in the same voices back to back. Skyrim had that kind of repetitiveness, but you had to actually spend time with an NPC to explore their depth. They had lives -- routines, relationships, jobs, etc. I only make the comparison because I've been reading lots of posts in forums and reviews comparing it to Skyrim, like "this world is more in depth than Skyrim." In some ways, maybe. In other ways, definitely not. I've even read that the NPCs in Witcher 3 are more in depth than Skyrim, so perhaps I'm just not far enough in the game to notice that.

Yeah I've noticed that too. One thing I remember reading is how NPC's have their own daily routines they go through. I haven't really noticed it as much as I did in Skyrim. In Skyrim I would see the blacksmith walking to his job and at a certain point in the day, he would walk home. I haven't seen that yet in this

I felt the same until last night when I wrapped up the Bloody Baron story arch and also did a couple of secondary missions. I went from 4-9 last night in about 3 1/2 hours of play.

I wrapped up White Orchard last night except for a shrine that is bugged. They say if you go back randomly it will work though. Knocking out all the small towns around Velen now. It is kind of frustrating that I have a sword that is Req. lvl 16 and one that is Req. lvl 27 and I am still level 6.
Also, I am surprised as well about the lack of people moving with the time of the day. This was something that they did in Witcher 1 where the people would be at work in the day, at home in bed at night and would move from building to building in certain situations. Very odd that they would remove that in this series.
