Killed a Griffin, riding off into the sunset to get paid.

Well, I got on about 10 o'clock tonight. Said I was only going to play an hour. I just got off. Work is going to be fun in the morning.
Bad arse pic BTW

This game is much better in big chunks imo. At least in the beginning.

Sunsets really are phenomenal in this game.

Found a steel sword schematic that upgrades dmg to 200-240. Stupid uneducated smiths.

I have gotten a couple 30+ quests. I think their stance is, "if you got the balls go get it."

I still doubt I finish this game. Every time I start having a good time, something comes up that makes me want to throw my controller against a wall.
ALWAYS hold L when fighting, and don't be over aggressive. Button mashing is the easiest way to die in this game.
If you've gotten into a fight that you can't handle, just run away. Enemies lose interest pretty quickly.

This. I was trying to do that parry reversal every time, but with multiple enemies it's just not happening for me, so I just protect and pick my spots while jumping around like a madman.

Remember which one it was near? I've done that quest already, but have an idea of where they were.

Also, there's a glitch on the Xbox One that keeps the game from saving. It voids both auto and manual saves, so I highly suggest manually saving regularly. If for no other reason than to test if the function is actually working. If you try to manual save, and get the message "you cannot save at this time" go ahead and hard reset your console, because there’s nothing you can do to keep from losing your current session.
I lost about 2 hours last night, hit some gaming boards to see what the deal is, and it appears to be a pretty pervasive problem.
People are recommending are hard reset before every play.

Yeah, I'm level 7 and two of the quests I've found are level 30+. What's even the point?

I've been approaching fighting this way and it works for the most part, but if there's more than three guys attacking you I get my arse kicked almost every time.

aard works pretty well for crowd control.

Ugh, I always forget about the spells haha. The only ones I use a a lot are the Igni and then the shield one. I'll have to try that out.

These are my favorites. I always have the shield sign because it basically negates one hit, which is nice against single enemies/bosses.
I do wish they would make switching back and forth between signs easier. I don't know how they would do it but the sign menu is clunky to access.

The mind control one works well too. There is usually one guy that is a little more aggressive then the others. Keep backing away, so he is alone, mind control, then I hold down the quick attack. Most of the time it has been an execution kill and he loses a head. Rinse, repeat. Throw in some fire every once in a while.
