You guys thing next year after a full year of experience the Lange/Bain combo can be as good as Gausman and Eades were a few years ago? Watching Bain pitch tonight reminds me Eades a little, and I think he could actually be better. We all know what Lange can do not sure if he is Gausman good, but we will see. What do y'all think?

The rotation will be nasty next season. We just need people to hit the ball.

I agree our pitching will be unstoppable next year, both our starting rotation and bullpen.

We are getting 3 juco transfers from delgado one being a 400 hitter and the other 2 350 hitters we will reload and be fine. I believe pap will be a fine catcher and hitter. I also believe grayson byrd with reps will be an elite talent. We are in good hands we prob wont win a natty next year but we will continue to compete. I also forgot about Diechman he was one of the best high school baseball players I've ever watched.

I think it's Lange, Poche, Latz next season

Bain will be the long go to reliable reliever

Bain will be a better pitcher than eades was. Bain always looks calm and throws a lot of strikes. Eades kinda reminded me of Godfrey. He looked like a rack of nerves half the time and was a bit wild

Next Year*

Fri-Lange
Sat-Poche
Sun-Latz

Bain, Godfrey, Norman, Cartwright, Bugg, Reynolds, Newman, Strall among others

The pitching staff will favor most ballparks

If LSU has 4 pitchers capable of being dominant starters next year, they will not make one a mid week starter. Mid week is where you find guys that can contribute to SEC and post season. One of them would get moved into a relief role.

With that said, there are always one or two guys that regress from one season to the next. Cody Glenn peaked as a sophomore, so did Anthony Ranaudo. Matty Ott and Kurt McCune peaked as freshmen. Coming into this season, Bouman and Reynolds were considered guys that could step into the weekend rotation. I hope all of LSU's young pitchers improve next year but I won't be surprised when it doesn't happen. However, one thing I have come to expect is every year there are a few new faces that come in a blow everyone away.

Yes, with caveat that it could well be Lange/Latz/Bain, not to mention Godfrey and Norman are both going to be great.
Latz can be as good as any lefty to ever pitch at LSU. He should be good to go by the fall. Think of Poche's stuff with about 3-4 MPH added.
