LSU outfielders arms

Looks like the word is out on the arms for the outfielders. SC didn't hesitate to tag up and go home. This is where Foster would come in handy. Watch how many times it happens in the SEC tournament.

So it took the whole season for word to get out?

also what is your obsession with Foster? You have 40 total posts and 31 are about him.

They look like children among boys, out there.

You're right. After 3 years, other SEC teams have finally realized they don't have strong arms.

Because this is why we lost. It had nothing to do with our pitching.
Or CPM leaving pitchers in too long.
Or grounding into 2 double plays with the bases loaded.
It was definitely the outfielders inability to throw out runners at home on a fly ball.

Laird - 3 year starter
Stevenson - 3 year starter
Fraley - 2 year starter
Those SEC scouting reports suck if they are just now figuring this out.

We all know that OP. Commentators always say LSU has three center fielders out there because of their range, but at the next level LSU has three left fielders. Still on balance they make more plays with their feet than they give up with their arms.

This.
And FYI to the original poster, the outfielders' arms weren't the problem in the game last night. In fact, as I recall, a great throw by an outfielder had one runner out at the plate but for a great slide and questionable call by the Umpire.

CPM was quoted recently re the attributes he looks for in recruiting outfielders & arm strength was the last thing he looked at. So, obviously, he knew about these arms when he signed them.

You are seriously a complete dumbass.

Foster was not solid in the outfield with his decision making
Posted on 5/15/15 at 12:12 pm to tdsrus
Damn only took SEC teams 3 seasons to figure that out right? How insightful!

How about that time Foster basically lost the game against Kentucky? See I can play this game too.

Actually they've thrown several people out at the plate this season. Laird also gunned down the so-called winning run in game 3 at MSU two weeks ago on a run that scored on a blown call. Their arms are average, considering the success over all for the season. Like the announcers last night I'm not sure that 10th run should have counted either. Scivicque said he missed the plate. At any rate, Foster is getting better and better at second so that's a plus.

Well, they get most people out with their feet. If they could throw like they can run, they wouldn't be in college.
