If Brady did get the suspension eliminated, I would bet anything that he comes out and throws like 5-6 TDs and would be going fricking crazy during the game

Angry Brady ain't nothin to frick with

Wait, why is he going to the media to defend his report as independent?

The report should stand on its own, that is kind of the entire point.

Also, he shouldn't be saying guilty or innocent at all if h he's independent. He should be stating the findings and exceptions.

But Wells is saying he didn't ask for the actual phone, just info from it. He wasn't even going to touch it. He asked Brady and his lawyer to tell him about texts pertaining to the investigation and he'd trust Brady to give him acurate information. He didn't want to take Brady's phone to his house and look through it all night.
No one seems to care about this part.

Precisely why Wells was so stupid in the first place to do the interview. Question is, did Goodell put him up to it or is he just an egomaniac? Either he fricked the NFL big time with huge contradictions.

It's bc that is Ted Wells' side of the story, and he's not as independent as he wants you to believe. He even said that Brady was interviewed for almost an entire day and answered every single question. yet people keep repeating how "Brady refused to cooperate" with the investigation. In fact many on this board believe Brady was punished more for lying and refusing to cooperate than the actual deflation. The only thing he refused was access to the phone data.

Why would you hire a criminal defense attorney to do independent investigation work too? His job for most of his career is to support his client's interest.

There are plenty of investigation and audit firms that could be more independent.

Hell, they have kpmg's US headquarters in the same building in NYC

If they took all that time to come there for no reason what so ever sure why not.

Not breaking the law is a pretty simple concept.

I don't have drugs, dead bodies, or a sex ring running out of my basement so I don't think they'd have much to find

Did any of you idiots read the report, or do you just parrot what you see on the Internet? He never asked Brady to turn over his phone. He asked Don Yee and Brady to review what was in his phone and provide any pertinet information sought. Wells even told them he would take them at their word whether anything was in the phone. They could have simply said nope, there's nothing in there. Instead, they clammed up and didn't do anything.

To keep the gig of the 'go-to' investigative firm for the NFL. They made over $5 MILL for this investigation.

It's all part of the plan. Come out with punishment at first and have it shrivel up into nothing in the end.

Without a doubt IMO.

Kraft knew all of this was coming. This anger he's putting on is an act. He has to come off as irate to sell it to the public.

Did you read the report or do you just parrot what you heard on the internet from Well's interview?

Brady would have been a moron to turn over anything to Wells. Wells started with a conclusion and searched for evidence to back up that claim. He would have twisted anything he could against brady. All you have to do is pay attention to see how he twisted Referee Walt Anderson's interview to fit his investigation.

One source texted ESPN's Adam Schefter saying he thinks Tom Brady's four-game suspension could be overturned altogether. Another source described the legal team Brady is putting together for his appeal as "unreal." It's made up of a load of experienced lawyers, including Jeffrey Kessler. Many believe Brady at least has a better than even chance to have his suspension reduced. "I don't think the Patriots are going to go quietly into the night," Schefter said. "I think this story is just getting started." Deflategate still has months to go, but smart money is on Brady not serving his full four-game ban.

The main thing I took from this thread is that there are people like this that exists. I can't believe someone would be ok with LEOs just showing up and randomly searching your house. Wow.

You realize that Goodell will look like an idiot if all the punishment is reversed or significantly reduced? I can't help but laugh at people that still think Goodell and Kraft are in cahoots over this. For starters, the Patriots would have been notified before the game that there was a complaint against them. They weren't. The colts told the NFl, the NFL informed the officials to be on the lookout. Then too much information was leaked too fast from the NFL office. And the information leaked was incorrect and made the 'violation' worse than it was. Remember the whole "11 of the 12 balls were deflated 2 to 3 psi below the minimum" bullshite? And finally, if goodell and Kraft were in cahoots, the nfl would have handed out only the $25k fine.
