Fabtastic news, thought they were gonna leave him out.

God no. He's way too old for the role.

Are you from Bizzaro Universe? This is simply terrible news.

Why?

Because simply put, Indiana Jones shouldn't be an old fart. You didn't like him as an old fart the first time, only now he'll be yet another 10 years older. Indiana Jones doesn't work as a guy in his 70s, anymore than an ancient Han Solo will.

I never even made it through the fourth film. And I've watched the first three more times than I can remember.

Would be OK if they keep it away from the two CGI love birds

Nowhere in that article (except for the headline) does it actually state that Ford is '"set to star" in a 5th Indy movie. That is only speculation within the article.

This is another case of a headline taking far too much liberty with the actual content of the story.

The only thing confirmed at this point is that Lucasfilm will make another Indy movie at some point (as if nobody knew that). They don't even have a script yet.

The only way this is good news is if Harrison Ford, who has never been a good actor but has become progressively and aggressively worse as he's aged, is in the movie as much as Peter Falk was in Princess Bride and for the same reason (i.e. telling his grandson a story). The star needs to be a Chris Pine / Chris Pratt type guy, who has flash, charisma, and humor.

Fifth?

Raiders (1), ToD (2), Last Crusade (3)...

This would be the fourth, wouldn't it?
