What has Mint helped you do?

After just starting to find myself in MT now, after reading alot about Mint and budgets, what has Mint helped you accomplish? Just trying to gauge whether it can help me or not. My wife and I for the most part, only buy necessities. Of course, as normal the only thing I can only think we blow a little extra money on is eating out. Just recently we only try to go out once, maybe twice a week. So im just curious in this adventure we may take in. Has Mint helped you notice other spendings that you shouldnt be and what has it helped you do the most of?

Not much. I pretty much only use it to check my retirement account balances so I don't have to log into each one individually.
I don't like the way it tries to make you track your budget so I just do it in excel.

Everything's in one place, helps track expenses for certain things. I use the tags a bunch.
Easy to separate out the rental stuff, hunting stuff, extracurriculars, etc..
Easy to show my wife how much she spends eating out.

I think if you use it correctly for several months, you develop a baseline. At that point, you can look for outliers and places you can cut back and save a little extra monthly.
Also, if you're able to link your retirement and bank accounts, you can track your net worth which should provide some enjoyment.

It helps me keep track of all my accounts easily without logging into them all individually. It keeps me up to date with my property value.
I like tracking my net worth. It's like a game/challenge to see how quickly I can make it grow. I just find myself being more frugal in general because of this.

It has helped bring visibility to what my family spends money on and where we need to cut back. It's the easiest way to put a value on what we are buying and all of the accounts are in one place.

Do yall consider Mint safe to use?
I've always been uneasy about linking all my accounts to a third party site. I've always wanted to use Mint.

I still use a spreadsheet for the most part bc mint is unable to connect to a few of my accounts (GMFS and Sofi). But it is a great tool to track your spending with.

Mint Bills has helped me way more. It used to be called something else I can't remember, but Mint bought it out.
