I don't think that is the answer colonel . He did hit two foul balls very hard his last AB, one was just foul and if fair would have scored two runs.

Wasn't it his line drive that fell about 6 inches away from scoring two runs? Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong person.

It was a few feet foul, but yeah, it was Foster. ..those two guys ate up our batters last night.

He will bust out of this slump, don't worry.

I am with you. Also noticed last night that instead of Bregman under handing to Foster for an easy DP chance, he waived off Foster and took the force at second himself. It was a critical time of the game and Bregman's trust in Foster's fielding is fading. I get the feeling Foster is on borrowed time from both a fielding and hitting standpoint. Step it up or step aside.

CPM has a difficult decision if Foster's bat doesn't start come around and fast. Kade's bat is also waning but his defense and handling of the Pitchers is so good right now. Chinea might just get moved up in the line-up - every ball hit is smoked!

Will be interesting in watching CPM re-tool the line-up these last few series.

Here's hoping for a dominant start for Lange. In my opinion, a confident and relatively fresh Lange is key to our post season run. Get a big lead and pull Lange after 6!

Geaux Tigers!

Bregman took the play himself because he had a very slow runner and had plenty of time. No need to take a chance with the flip because lots of things can go wrong there. Any good SS would've done the same thing no matter who is playing 2B.

I agree with this, don't think it had anything to do with Foster.

To be honest, he's really just not that good of a hitter, and never has been.

He has trouble hitting breaking stuff and he also has trouble laying off of them. When he gets a fastball he usually puts a good swing on it.

The experiment is over. Double play ball results in 2 earned runs. Sorry but Robertson or Byrd turns two. Defense wins Championships. Time to move on in my opininon.

Strike that. Three earned runs that do not happen if Foster gets his body in front of the grounder.

OK. I'll lay off. But that strike out was abysmal. New topic.

He seems really frustrated lately. Needs to relax and think opposite field IMO

There are hot streaks and slumps with most hitters. That's why there is an average.
