Jared Foster is hitting .209 for the last 12 games and his average has fallen to .278. Seems to be unable to take a good swing with runners in scoring position. For example, last night was up with the bases loaded, 0 outs and takes two fastballs down the middle and then strikes out on a ball two foot in front of the plate. He doesn't seem to be able to adjust to what the pitchers are doing to him. Since he is playing because of his bat (fielding average lowest of the starters at .956) he needs to figure it out in a hurry because crunch time is almost upon us.

It's either him or Robertson and Fosters bat is better. Hopefully he gets out of this slump before the tourney.

Not worried about Foster at this point better for him to slump now than later in May when he will be needed

Wasn't it his line drive that fell about 6 inches away from scoring two runs? Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong person.

Regardless, that's baseball. He will have a game where he gets 2-3 hits and be back on track. I have really been impressed by some of the plays he has made at second base. He's not a liability there in my opinion...so his slight slump isn't enough of a reason to put him on the bench.

He has taken a liking to curveballs in the dirt.
Seems like many of the pitchers we are seeing lately aren't leaving much up in the zone for any of our hitters. I sure wouldn't.

Baseball is his problem. It equalized everyone at some point.

Yes that was him. He crushed that pitch. That being said he has had some pretty weak at bats lately. I think he'll be fine though.

He's just having trouble with the curve ball. That'll be in his scouting report for the rest of his career until he proves he can lay off the pitch in the dirt.

well, it's not fair of those pitchers to be throwing pitches in the dirt.

He is starting to look like 2014 Jared Foster.

Hope he can snap out of it soon.

Recently he's been taking too many strikes
And swinging at anything in the dirt. Only cure for
that is better discipline.
