I thought the sequence where he's transporting that thing in the truck was completely unnecessary and just an opportunity to throw in more action.

Tony Stark was basically a bad guy,
He's a reckless good guy who was under the influence of something.

they have the avengers fight each other throughout the movie because hey, this movie needs more action.
There was tension, but isn't there always tension? Last time it was Fury hiding things form everyone, this time it was Stark assuring himself that he could make decisions alone.
And wouldn't most have a problem if the team was a well oiled machine that hums along without anyone ever getting made at anyone else? 0 internal tension?

Yes, you can process everything, but it's exhausting. Are you really going to tell me the frame wasn't cluttered with shite for 1/2 of the movie?
It was a joke. The picture had so much going on, and even if it didn't, I don't want to read subtitles.
The movie was fun, but very much like a transformers movie. If you replace robots with superheroes, it's the same thing really.

I don't want to get into a dissection of THIS movie, but he was a bad guy, and then he tried to do the same shite twice. Not the real issue, but like last time he doesn't consult anyone, ask anyone. He just does the same stupid shite twice
Stark is an inventor, failing is part of the process. You keep trying...

The inclusion of the twins basically reinforces what a bad guy he is. First his weapons murder their family, then Olsen twin knows what he'll do with the new ultron body because she assumes he's a bad guy
But she doesn't mean that he's a bad guy, she specifically says, "He'll do ANYTHING to win" the fight against the bad guys. They make this point multiple times.
Now whether or not you think that makes him a "bad guy," is a debate. But he isn't just a bad guy.

I really liked the motorcycle stuff. The rear screen was looking fake on a few shots, but that was kind of awesome
The action with captain America was also pretty cool

quote:I really liked her character, but I do have a question. What was her intention when she fricked with the Hulk's mind? Did she want to kill Tony Stark? Did she want to kill The Avengers? Did she want to destroy the city? She had to know that Hulk would frick shite up pretty bad. I mean, how many people died from that fight in the city? I found it funny that The Avengers just said "Oh well. Want to become an Avenger?".
then Olsen twin

Um, yes that make him a very bad guy
Do ANYTHING to win
Do ANYTHING to win

I really liked AoU, but the "invention" of Ultron was so rushed that I still have no idea how he was actually created. The scepter was some kind of advanced tech instead of Asgardian type magic?

I was just shocked that an olsen twin had meat on her arms and an actual set of tits. she still had that weird alien face that comes from not eating enough quesaritos at Taco Bell

You know she's not an Olsen twin right?
And your criticisms of this movie so far are stupid.
A super hero Avengers movie and you're criticisms are too many characters, too much on screen, and a city gets destroyed? Dumbass.

he is the secondary antagonist of this movie whether you like it or not.
They make note that he keeps company with nefarious people (andy serkis)
does wild and dangerous things to satisfy his ego
the billions that are funding the avengers are made from weapons that murdered the olsen twins parents and countless others.
I could go on all day...iron man was a bad guy in this movie.

I know that, I just call her that...the fat olsen twin

Bingo, hence...........Captain America: Civil War.

Him and Banner had talked ad nauseum off screen about it and worked the entire project together.

Well yeah. It's setting up civil war.

I think it is a fun experience, but I have 2 big criticisms
1. too much, too fast
2. iron man is an a-hole

Liz Olsen is the younger sister of the Olsen twins, and a far better actress.

Too much undeveloped action going on screen makes one a dumbass? This isn't the first superhero movie. They've evolved enough to the point where we can expect villains to be developed and entire plots to not be rushed/copied from the original.
Just because it's an ambitious project doesn't mean it avoids criticism.
And I don't think it's the fact that a city gets destroyed. It's that a city gets destroyed by Jobber army with entirety of Avengers fighting while villain is only meaningful opponent. Also Iron Man is depended upon to find small flaw in villains plan and save the day. And Hulk is used in first half of movie climax by bad guy to cause havoc with Avengers. Like I've mentioned earlier in this thread, Ultron's personality wasn't all too different from Loki's either.
We understand that they didn't want to use some of the ideas that they have planned for the next movie. But they copied way too much from the original movie. The majority of this movie was just lazy. It doesn't help that the last two marvel movies that came out prior to this one were home runs.
