There is more to it than "Stark is an a-hole".

but he was always an a-hole in the comics I read. I never liked iron man.

I saw it yesterday and was disappointed in it, it wasn't bad but it wasn't very good - especially compared to the last two marvel flicks.

There wasn't much of a plot. And they definitely tried to share screen time too much. The original avengers did a better job IMHO of letting the plot dictate screen time vs. ego.

I could have done without the BW/Banner storyline too.

hold up, Ill BRB with a "compare and contrast" essay on Schindler's List and Inglorious Bastards. Both have Nazis so this should make sense.

I'm not saying that Stark is not an a-hole at all. I just think there was more involved in his decision to create Ultron.

You can't just overlook the AI aspect of ultron. On top of THAT, he is created by iron man and hulk. But that shite is all brushed over in 2 seconds so we have a party scene with don cheadle's tank joke

He's the main villain, and I'd rather have the why of fry than tony and Thor talking about their imaginary girlfriends

There was potential there.

Being an a-hole and causing the apocalypse because of careless decisions are two different things.

It fits his character as developed 100%. I have no idea how you continually argue against it. Everything Stark did in this movie made perfect sense based on how he's been developed. At this point, I just assume you're trolling.

If that was all it was, you can add naive to his list of character traits.

Somebody can't have an opinion without trolling anymore. I'm not the only one in the thread who thinks there's a possibility that Tony was under the influence of something.

I thought this at first too. That is the way SW made it seem. Now I think Abell was right, it was the scepter. The "AI" in the scepter using the power of the mind stone.

Go back 2 pages and read my theory. Seriously. It will make everything more clear on Stark. He was an antagonist via what was truly the main antagonist in the movie. Which wasn't Ultron.

Both Avenger movies had the same main antagonist.

jeez, you're like a big fan of these movies and you're getting it in this one.

it's not enough to like it but say these things weren't good.

it's the greatest movie ever god dammit!

I was kind of being nice by leaving out the hackneyed plot device: robot built to protect humanity does so by eradicating/enslaving/oppressing them

You're completely blind to the character. Would you rather me say you're apparently too stupid to follow a comic book movie? I chose what I thought was the least insulting of the two.

it was terrible. And it really wasn't much of a plot. Where was the tension besides the avengers arguing with each other?

Again, it's a comic book movie. What exactly were you expecting?

I hate using the word "fanboy" when describing the way some people act, but if there was ever a case that it fits...........
