Fyi, Orange Airlines (booked through Branson Air) is offering $198 roundtrip non-stop from NOLA to Cancun for the month of May. Hell of a deal.

Any suggestions for MSY to DFW departing afternoon of July 17 and returning anytime July 19?

cool, I got NSY-ORD with United for $292 incl/ all taxes and fees for Two people. That's $118 each round trip before fees. Not bad at all.
(last weekend of June, both flights non-stop)

So right now we're 2 1/2 months away from mid/end July. Usually the cheaper fares come out about 2 months ahead and last up until 2 or 3 weeks before day of travel. I would hold off a few more weeks if you can, right now it's at $201 on American.

Considering I bought a roundtrip ticket for Sat-Sun a few weeks ago MSY-DFW May 16-17 for $84, I'd wait. Price could go up, but I'd say it's unlikely as American and Southwest like to battle for the New Orleans-Dallas business (occasionally United)

June 12th through 15th.

shite and while I have the expert here I've got another question.

I'm going to England/Amsterdam early next year. Should I buy tickets ASAP or how far ahead is it best to buy international flights.

Thanks man! These are some of my favorite threads.

Hmm, MSY-MIA June 12-15 is $319, MSY-Key West is $402. If you did Thurs night June 11-15 its $267. For that difference of $83, if you have more than 1 person traveling it might be worth it. Other questions to ask: are rental cars cheaper in MIA or Key West? What if your flight to Key West is delayed in MIA and you end up driving anyway? Just things to consider.

Definitely wait for a while, the prices are sky high for summer travelers (even through the fall and next spring). You'll see a huge decrease in price from >$1300 to <$1000 for fall and winter travel

My wife already booked it. We had no intention of going on a trip, especially to somewhere like Cancun, but she saw that and was like "Hey, what's your calendar look like?"

Just going to go from Thursday to Sunday, quick little trip. Already got a deal on a well-reviewed all-inclusive.

resort is not actually in cancun. its much further down the beach.

I've been in that area before, not my first rodeo.
