From the parts of the game I saw, Harris looks far more talented, in a different league. It's going to come down to how well he can run the offense.
I agree. As I said earlier Harris threaded some needles. His arm is on another level. There again, that's why my heart sank when he threw that pick. Jennings lacks arm strength and has been scared to make a last second throws, Harris has arm strength and it gets him into trouble. They really are two ends of the spectrum.

Also, his pick was to a true freshman and was a bad throw into double coverage.
that was the definition of 1 on 1 coverage

I was there too and it wasn't double coverage and tolliver did in fact push off.

Did yall really just spend three pages spewing shite over one pass in a spring scrimmage

hey what do you know? you were only there and saw it live

is there anyone still actually arguing that it was double coverage?

Saw the game on TV and agree-- single coverage and a push.

I mean, that's what happens when people dispute facts that have visual evidence to back them up while simultaneously accusing other people of being biased

They fought it to the bitter end

Harris has got this. Well, MIles got this.

It was a spring game. Honestly what. Concerns me more is the fall off between 1st and 2nd string. Harris did look better against the 1st team in my opinion, but my opinion doesn't matter.

I don't understand why so many are posting this, the 2nd team will never completely play together in a meaningful situation.

This is what I wanted to avoid in this thread. This isn't perspective. This is doing what you can to justify Harris, IMO. You have zero interest whatsoever in giving Jennings a shot."
And you need to get over yourself.

He had a full year and showed little or no improvement. No progression. Jennings has had and continues to get his shots being that he gets 50% of the snaps in practice.

This is the third spring for Jennings too.

From what I've seen, Harris isn't so good that he's separated himself from Jennings. Was there any improvement in Jennings anywhere?
Harris still does not have command of the offensive playbook. He had to call 3-4 TO's. AJ called none. It was obvious but he looks about like what AJ did last year on this skill. He has way more talent. They rolled him out a lot and when they did he tended to "lose the field" in his mind and wound up throwing a few bad balls or just keeping it and running.
AJ looked much more in control this go around. He still throws weak balls. The 70 yd pass to Dural was not a TD because he had to stop to catch it. AJ hit most of his throws but he threw a couple of real bad ones and missed some wide open guys.
All of this pass production needs to be tempered by the bad pass coverage by the second team D. All the significant plays by BH and AJ were with the ones playing the twos.
What got lost in the stats was that Harris had more yards rushing than anybody including the RB's yet he had no stat listed. CLM stated that he wants QB's that can extend the play and BH did that today. He took a roll out and turned nothing into 5- 10 yds easily.

You've got to be able to take those shots down the field. I do think Jennings looked really good on the first drive though
