Best Napa wineries?

The wife and I are planning a Napa/San Francisco trip for our 20th anniversary in September. I'm a beer drinker and we both eat so San Fran is pretty much planned out. We want to do Chandon for our actual anniversary but really don't know anything about California wines or which wineries are must-dos in Napa. Any suggestions or personal recommendations are appreciated.

honig and obrien were my favorites. Castello di Amorosa was beautiful as well. do the premium tasting there, it was well worth it.

Just went last week but brought our two minor daughters so focus was more on sightseeing and less on tasting. The ones we visited were Castello di Amorosa (got some great photos there), Sterling Vineyards (to ride the gondola and more photos), Domaine Chandon (across the road from where we stayed), Peju (nice art inside) Franciscan (beautiful grounds) Robert Sinskey on Silverado Trail near Yountville (they are remodeling now but nice Pinot tasting), Beringer Winery to see the Rhine House and tour the tunnels, Tractor tram tour at Benzinger Winery in Sonoma Valley near Glen Ellen (pretty Oakville Grade drive through the mountains to Glen Ellen).
Also, if you have time, drive to Bodega Bay on the Sonoma Coast, drive down to Marshall on Tomales Bay and eat BBQ oysters on the porch at Marshall Store or at Hog Island Oyster Co. Then drive to the lighthouse at Point Reyes National Seashore. Drive back through Petaluma and drink at Lagunitas. Fun day.
You're going to enjoy it.

My experience in Napa was a little different as I was with a Napa sommelier (everything was free) but I really enjoyed Frog's Leap and Duckhorn. Both were great properties, excellent wine, and overly friendly.
We also went to Domaine Carneros for champagne and then Miner for wine. Miner has a great view.

Also to mix it up check out prager port in St Helena. It is a small family run place (3 brothers that are on site and usually give the tastings). Really good ports too

If you're with a group, hire a limo for the day. Great way to get around without having to worry about driving or trying to find the wineries.

Went to Napa and Sonoma in December With two other couples
Shared a limo and driver and had a great time.
My favorite stops were Repris, Caspar and Far Niente.

Have been out there several times and have 2 that really stand out,
Tres Saboras is a must, small and awesome, we played horse shoes and did a picnic lunch there, got the full tour from the owners and were encouraged to pick any of the fresh fruit around the property to try.
That and Frank Family are my two favorites, Frank family has awesome wines.

Sterling is a must see IMO - The wine is OK, but the winery has a gondola taking you up a hill to enjoy the views while tasting.

Be sure to hit up Oakville grocery for lunch, it's also a really neat place to pick up artisan jams, preserves, sauces, cheeses, etc... Really neat place. On your way back from Napa to San Fran, be sure to go to Muir Woods for a little hiking. It's one of the most sublime places I've ever been. Go on a weekday when it's not crowded.
