You can't just keep expanding to further water down your product. There are several perennial cellar-dwellers that can't find a franchise QB since there only seem to be around 15 people in the world with that kind of capability. And that's only one position.
Not many organizations can field enough quality talent to produce at a high enough level to win with consistency. It's the main reason many of these teams are up for relocation in the first place.

but if you were to ask people in LA, most would prefer the rams coming back
But if you were to ask any fan in St.Louis they would prefer the Rams as well. So who is the NFL gonna screw over..

You could always have an expansion team called the Los Angeles Rams.
They have two different Roughriders teams in the CFL

When the NFL was running NFL Europe nearly all of the teams that lasted until the experiment ended were based in Germany.
Also, here is an article advocating the expansion of the international series instead of moving a franchise:

You don't think these owners keep using LA as a threat in order to get more money from tax payers for stadiums and other subsidies?

Move the Rams to LA and the Jaguars to St. Louis. Everybody is happy except for the 25 Jacksonville fans.

wonder if they considered expansion.
well see, but the NFL has been pretty against expansion for years now
NFL will expand, but it will be when it is time to have a London team(s). I could see the NFL adding 1-2 teams in the US/Canada and 2-3 teams in Europe.

lets say the NFL puts teams in europe. what will those cities be? london is a lock and then.......berlin, rome, paris, and madrid?
I was talking to one of my Dutch friends last night and he said American football is popular on the neighborhood level in Holland, and he thought that the NFL could work in Amsterdam and in Germany.

Hopefully the Carson stadium doesn't get approved...

Noting that Kraft, Jones, or Mara make no comments about the fans of the 2 teams that would relocate or just how much money each owner will get from new ownership fees that each new owner will have to pony up to be divided with all the league owners. L.A. has had its chances & failed miserably. It's all about the money, yet there is no mention of this by Kraft, et al.

They don't need four teams in California.

California supports 4 NBA franchises and 5 MLB franchises pretty damn well

My question is: if a NFL team moves to L.A., what will the NFL use to scare and manipulate cities and states into building new stadiums? They've gotten a lot of mileage by teams threatening to move to L.A. if they weren't given a new or renovated stadium at taxpayer expense.

1. They will always use Mexico, Europe, or Canada
2. Most of the new stadiums that were built were built to replace old multi-purpose stadiums and stadiums that were built for cheap and could not be enlarged or renovated to accomodate premium seats and luxury boxes. I doubt you see the new stadiums being replaced at 25 and 30 years like the old ones were.
