From the first statement, we know that Albert is sure that Bernard doesn't know the birthday, so May and June should be ruled out (the day 19 only appears in May and the day 18 only appears in June). In other words, if Albert had May or June, then he cannot be sure that Bernard doesn't know, since Bernard could have had 18 or 19.

not its not.
It is very easy to see it couldn't be May or June as the only way for Albert to know Bernard does not know the answer to start out is for every day listed in the month of Birthday to have a duplicate in another month

since b does not know immediately you can rule out May 19 and June 18
since B knows that A knows those can be ruled out, B also knows he can rule out June 17 (the only day remaining in June)
However if A knew it was May then why would he be able to rule out both May 15 and 16 just because May 19th was ruled out?
the option of 15th and 16th also appear in July and August.

I think it's safe to eliminate the single dates (18 and 19) because Bernard would immediately know her birthday based on the list but he explicitly states he didn't know at first.
Reread the question. "Cheryl then tells Albert and Bernard separately the month and the day of her birthday respectfully."
I read this as she told Bernard the month (June) first. He still does not know her birthday until she gives the day (18th)

July 16
1- All days during month of birthday should have another month with a bday on same day
Leaves only July 14/16 Aug 14/15/17
2- Bernard knows the date # which allows him to narrow it down. Eliminates July/Aug 14
3- In order for Albert to know the answer, it cannot be the month of Aug as Albert could not distinguish between Aug 15/17 for Bernard. The only way Albert could also know is if it was July 16
Works for me. Seems sound enough.

Taking this one statement at a time
1) A says that he knows that B does not know C's bday. The only way he can make this statement is if the month is July or August. If the month was May or June, A could not be certain that B doesn't know the exact date, since both of those have unique numbers.
2) B says that at first he didn't know, but now he does. So given what A said, B can narrow it down to either July 16, Aug 15, or Aug 17. He can do this since the 14th is repeated in August and July, so if his number was the 14th, B still wouldn't know the exact date.
3) A says that he knows it now too. Thus, given all the previous info, it must be July 16 since A wouldn't be sure of the exact date if it was in August.

July 16th
Albert knows that Bernard doesn't know... which eliminates May and June because there is a chance (18 or 19) that he knows.
Since Bernard knows the date, and he says that he didn't know before, but he knows now, then it can't be the 14th or either July or August, because he still wouldn't know. It has to be one of the other three options.
Then Albert says that he now knows, which means it has to be July 16th... if it was one of the August dates, he would still be at a 50/50 chance.

June 18
Albert knows the month is June
Bernard knows the day is the 18
There is only one scenario where both data sets are sepcific to one single date (June 18). If Bernard knew that the day was the 14, 15, 16, or 17 then there are too many Month options for Albert to know to have them both know the day.

Without scrolling down, May 19th. Only date that isn't listed twice. Simple as that
What if the broad just said, "Hey, my birthday is on the 19th" to one dude? Problem solved

They are taught quantum physics or quantum mechanics in high-school. I have been there. Education is at the top of the list for these people. You cant get a job at McDonalds without a College degree.
