I see both, which means it's a normal optical illusion (like the two faces or a vase). Most of those you can eventually see both alternatives. The dress remained stable, and that was what made it so interesting.

I just watched my cat go up and down stairs. The answer is definitely down - tails up in the air. My cat tucks her tail when going up.

*also - look at the cat's front left paw.
