Just found out yesterday that our family is Jewish

My brother is into genealogy and he informed our family that we are Sardinian Jews that fled to Sicily and changed our names to blend in with the Italians.

It would be interesting if you did an ancestral DNA test like 23andme. It tells you the geographics of where your DNA comes from and even your haplogroup. Yours (at least your mitochondrial/female-line) is probably very different from what you expected originally.
