Is there evidence to support the notion that Mike Detillier is any more informed than the average rant poster?

no. I just essentially mentioned that in the other thread ("way too early"). though I think he's got ties to Orgeron, so hey, maybe he'll start giving us some scoop soon.

he knows more than most rantards, but he really doesnt have any inside information.

He knows the personnel, so ill give him that.

Not sure i'd say Guice is the X-factor. He's going to be the RB3, and the staff hasnt really shown me that they know how to use a guy like this correctly anyway.

No, I'm not sure how this guy gets any credit to be honest.

Yes without a doubt. Do u read the rant?

Detweiler knows his football and can access the Tigers objectively as well as anyone out there.

If any of you wouldve read the article. You wouldve read where he mentioned D Williams as the clear #2 and included him in the best backfield in the sport.

He reiterated a few times that the "X" factor will be the offensive line, not Guice. He likes Guice and the change of pace that he may provide could be similar to what Magee provided, which was alot.

As far as the QB battle goes, Miles will play the QB that gives the team the best chance of winning that week. He is not a coach that will sacrifice the hard work of his returning lettermen just to give Harris "experience". He will not allow turnovers or a QB playing outside of the offense. Miles is not a gunslinger's coach. U can bash that all u want, it is what it is.

Harris will have to win the job on the playing field, just like Detweiler states. Which means playing within the offense and not turning the ball over.
He mentioned that Jennings is inaccurate, which is a big problem.

The Qb battle is just what it is.

On the one hand, u have a calm coachable guy that knows the offense extremely well. A player that is limited in talent, but is a good leader. A player that has worked extremely hard to get better last season and this latest offseason. Will it be enough to complete more passes and allow the running game to see an occasional 7 man front?

On the other u have a fast guy with a rocket of an arm. A clear talent and home grown, which has been very rare recently. A NFL talent that wants to play like a gunslinger with a HC that will not allow that. Coaches have faced this many times thru the years at both major levels.

Miles was one drive away from having a stellar season with poor QB play against a loaded SEC last season, but know one wants to say anything about that.

Lets just continue to bash Miles and Jennings, that seems much the cooler thing to do around here. And while we are at it, lets compare Detweiler to the average ranter.
